Two New Offers for Port St. Lucie?s Jeff Luc | Gridironstuds.com Blog

The whirlwind surrounding Treasure Coast High School?s Jeff Luc continues now with a pair of offers from two more top BCS Division I schools.
Saturday saw offers come in from Ohio St. University and Georgia Tech University for Luc who now has about 20 offers from major Division I programs. Luc who rose to prominence when his video appeared on the Gridironstuds.com website was offered from USC and North Carolina close to two weeks ago making him a national recruit. Luc is expected to become a 5-star recruit by next week, a move that is long overdue.

Last week, Luc took an unofficial visit down to the University of Miami campus to check out spring practice for the Hurricanes. He had the opportunity to meet several of the Hurricane coaches along with new signees and current recruits for Miami. Luc was surprised by the down to Earth nature of Hurricane head coach Randy Shannon. Many feel Luc will stay in state to attend one of the three major schools, however, he and his family insist that he will look at the total picture before making a decision. Any speculation as to where he will go is just that, speculation.

Luc finished off his junior season with 125 tackles, 97 solo, 22 for a loss, one fumble recovery, one interception and countless hurt feelings. Luc?s video may be one of the best you?ve seen for a high school linebacker. If you have not had a chance to, check out the highlight video that got this all started for the head crusher from Treasure Coast. Jeff Luc?s highlight video.

In one word, this kid is versatile.

Great form tackler, great hands, takes great lines to the ball, has a nose for the ball, and looks great on the blitz. I could see him playing DE, LB, or S at the next level, but I'm not sure which position would utilize his talents the most. LEO, maybe?

I'd say MLB all the way.

20 seconds into that video, I started to feel really bad for the kids he was playing against........

Plays like he's very upset with everyone!

Could not agree more, he gets to the ball quick and in a bad mood. The scary thing is, he looks fantastic on offense, too, which just makes you think the kid is a flat-out football player. Miami should really be all over him, he just screams of the old swagger they used to have. I can't see him not panning out as a MLB at the next level. Too athletic, too powerful, just too plain talented. I could easily see him being a 5 star guy.

Their family knew Bryan Pata, who was murdered outside his apartment while playing for Miami a few years ago. The family moved out from Miami to avoid the violence, so Miami may not be the favorite here.

I wasn't saying Miami would get him, just that he reminds me of someone like Ray Lewis; he's got an intangible aura of superiority it seems, and it's well-merited.

If the staff has seen Luc's film, we've offered. Those first three clips could be used as a seminar on how to explode through the tackle...very Katzenmoyer-esque. He also does an outstanding job of keeping his feet moving laterally, while using the blocker to his advantage. He is also absolutely explosive with his first few steps and his instincts are very good. He also shows he has some speed and athleticism to burn on offense. I like him at MIKE as well and hopefully we have a chance at this guy...excellent player.
