'10 FL LB Jeff Luc (Florida State Signee - Transfer to Cincinnati)

Elite inside linebackers are becoming harder to find - ESPN

Jeff Luc | Highlights
(Port St. Lucie, Fla./Treasure Coast)
College: Undecided
Aside from lacking a few inches of height, Luc possesses prototypical measurables and a matching elite skill set between the tackles. With a bulky, chiseled frame equivalent of an NFL middle linebacker, this textbook tackler fills downhill with great explosiveness and displays striking short-area power at the point of attack. His deceptively good redirection skills in space and ability to turn and run with backs in coverage is what puts him into an elite category and makes him one of the most coveted undecided prospects on the recruiting trail.

10) Jeff Luc (linebacker, Port St. Lucie) The buzz: Some questioned Luc's rapid ascension up the boards, given some of the competition the school faces, he's certainly made a believer out of the coaches that have shown up at Treasure Coast High and seen tape of his 125 tackles and nine sacks last season. Florida, Florida State and Miami are in the hunt (as are USC, LSU, Alabama and Ohio State). And don't rule out Georgia, which took a flyer on Luc's linebacker mate Deon Rogers.

No, the current rumor is that Luc silently verbaled to FSU last week.

Yup, and that Joyner's interest in Ohio State is no genuine since he is only taking the USC visit to recruit for FSU. This is why Joyner, Luc and Christian Green all went to Gainesville's Friday Night Lights too, to recruit for FSU. :bonk:

ESPN: Checking in with top undecided recruits

Jeff Luc, LB
(Port Saint Lucie, Fla./Treasure Coast)
Luc is likely going to stay in the state of Florida to play college football. Florida State, Florida and Miami (Fla.) are the three teams to beat with Georgia in the mix, as well. Luc was scheduled to make an unofficial visit to Tallahassee on Monday night for the Seminoles' home game against Miami and Florida State is believed to have a slight edge for his services at this time.

Luc has 4 official visits planned: Tennessee (already taken), Southern Cal (this weekend), LSU, and Florida. Still being considered for a visit: Georgia, Ohio State, Alabama, and Florida State.
