He's not as big a lock as a lot of Domers like to think, in spite of the Sept. 1st offer. He's got ties to the South (brother plays at Mississippi State, dad played for Alabama), and since the AA combine in San Antonio, he's gone national. If I remember correctly, he's planning on deciding sometime later this upcoming summer.

?Sophomore film

Junior film. Note: this film seems to load oddly. Each time I've played it (in Firefox), I've had to wait for it to completely load before it will play. Then it plays in fast forward for some reason. I have to then manually move the slider back to the beginning of the file and it plays normally.

Hurst top high school football prospect
By Patrick Dorsey
Posted: April 12, 2009

A pair of recruiting services rank James Hurst, a Plainfield High School junior, as Indiana's top football prospect in the Class of 2010.

But the thing about rankings is there's always a No. 1. Quality varies. Which brings us to Hurst.

"James is really one of a kind," Plainfield coach Brian Woodard said. "I'm fairly certain that James is in the argument as one of the most highly-recruited players from Indiana in a long time."

Said Rivals.com national recruiting analyst Jeremy Crabtree: "He's just one of those guys that come along every once in a while (and) has the entire package. I could literally talk about him for 20 minutes."
