It's hard to like an Ohioan who goes out of state, but I love Adreian Payne.

Agreed. Payne is an example of how much players can grow on and off the court during their four years of college.
For the most part the reaction to Lacey's death was very supportive from rival fans. I did see some comments from an Ohio State fan on twitter that were downright embarrassing to our fanbase. A shame when one person can make an entire fanbase look bad.

Depends what Winston does from here on. I think Payne has reacted appropriately to whatever mistakes he made four years ago.

Ex-Michigan State Spartans star Adreian Payne dies in shooting

Former Michigan State star Adreian Payne was shot and killed in Orlando, Florida, early Monday morning, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.

He was transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Payne, who was the 15th pick by the Atlanta Hawks in the 2014 NBA draft, was 31.

Per local authorities, a man named Lawrence Dority has been arrested for the shooting on a first-degree murder warrant. Dority stayed on the scene and spoke with police before he was transported to jail.
