Mack At USC For Junior Day

    By Phil Kornblut
OL Eric Mack (6-4 316) of Calhoun County was at USC Saturday for junior day. Mack has been to USC several times and Saturday he got a chance to get even more familiar with things. "I checked out the academics and the depth chart," he said. "I talked with (OL) coach Wolford. I like him." Mack also has been to Georgia's junior day. He plans to see Florida, Kentucky, NC State, Florida State and West Virginia over the next several weeks. Mack said he does not have a list of favorites and won' decide anything until Signing Day.

I don't know what to do with this, but I'm seeing posts on other boards saying Eric was among a group of current/former Auburn players who were shot and killed at a pool party at Auburn. Hoping for the best, but early reports don't sound good.

edit: So far all I've gathered is unconfirmed reports of Ed Christian and Ladarius Phillips being killed, Mack shot and in the hospital.
