Lists an offer from OSU and names them in his Top 6. Plans to visit OSU, Texas Tech, and Georgia this spring.

Son of Miami Dolphins' D-Line coach Kacy Rodgers Sr.

For having real solid measurables, playing at a big program, and having offers from Florida, Oklahoma, Georgia, OSU -- surprised he's not rated by either major scouting service. Maybe its a lack of film out there.

Kacy Rodgers - College Football Recruiting 2010 - ESPN

Evaluation

Rodgers has coveted size and overall physical tools coveted in a college perimeter defender. Has great height, long arms for pressing and is really well-developed from a physical standpoint. Flexible for his size. Versed in coverage schemes. Excels in press coverage jamming and rerouting receivers off the line but also shows he can mirror in off-man and flip his hips quickly changing direction. Shows he can recover quickly for his size and is difficult to create separation on with his strong hand technique and great body length. Has good not great makeup speed. Displays good plant and drive skill breaking underneath on perimeter run and pass support in zone schemes; has the tools to develop into a good run defender and a guy who can set the edge as a hard corner. Our concern is that he does not does not transition smoothly/quickly as you would like both breaking underneath and turning to run vertically. Pedal can be high, a bit rigid and while he shows he can change direction sharply, he does not always look very fluid through his hips or light on his feet. Projects well pressing and in underneath, Cover 2 schemes, but feel he may be susceptible left out on in island in straight man-to-man. Can get crossed over in his footwork will struggle to recover versus faster college receivers. Ball skills are marginal. Safety may be in his future; he has coveted body length, range and physicality. Overall, we feel Rodgers will offer his future defensive coordinator good scheme versatility and is a defensive back with a sought-after blend of size, athleticism and aggressiveness to match up with today's bigger college receivers.

Kacy has offers from Florida, Miami, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Georgia, Tennessee, UCLA, Oregon, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Colorado, Missouri, and Nebraska. He has not narrowed his list yet but hopes to do so soon.

Offers out the wazoo. He's probably a four star next time the recruiting lists are updated if the services are true to form.
