Catching Up With AJ Sebastiano

Continued.....

Great pic with the article of "Cinco" and Jeremy "Ocho" Cash. AJ wants the Bucks' offer BADLY!

I'm sure pulling for this kid to get his offer. He reminds me of Dane. The kid is just a football player. And when he says things like the following, how can you not want to see him play in Columbus?...

Oh, and I forgot to mention, I would crawl to Columbus if I had to.

I am really intrigued by this kid. I think he's a serious sleeper. Cinco's game film reminds me quite a bit of DJ Woods (signed with Cincy a few years ago) from his HS days, and he fits the mold of slots we have had here recently at OSU: great hands, slippery, intelligent (listed 3.4 GPA), accelerates fast, and runs solid routes.

Looking forward to hearing how his camp at OSU goes.

I was very impressed by this kids film. Some competetion looked suspect, like the 5 foot 6 linebacker on an opposing team, but overall Cinco is just solid. He's quicker than I expceted and he showed good hands and routes.
Hopefully he tears it up at camp and get a serious look from the staff.

Sebastiano having a busy summer

By Eric Guimaraes
WR AJ Sebastiano (6-1 189) of Broward, FL has been busy this summer camping at USC, East Carolina, Northwestern, Illinois, Boston College, Rutgers, and Wisconsin. He also has been to 7 on 7 tournaments at LSU, Florida, Ole Miss, Alabama and is heading to Florida State on July 23. He says his time at USC went well. "The stadium and the facilities blew me away," said Sebastiano. "They showed us their plans of fixing up the surrounding areas near the stadium and it's going to be really nice. I liked the campus too. It's got a very homey feel." Sabastiano still has not received any offers but feels several schools are close. "A bunch of schools have told me they're waiting on their top four or five to decide," he said. "They don't think they'll get all of them and then I should start getting some offers." As for favorites, "I am willing to play anywhere that wants me to come and play," he said.

North Broward Prep needed new home jerseys in the offseason, but there wasn't enough money in the budget for new road jerseys.

Senior receiver A.J. Sebastiano decided to take the cause into his own hands.

He put an iPod up for raffle, selling tickets for $5 apiece, all in the hopes of getting the Eagles some new duds for away games.

``He didn't raise a lot of money, but the point is he took the initiative to do that,'' North Broward Prep coach Rex Nottage said. ``That meant a lot to me.''

Sebastiano, overlooked by colleges until recently, is all about hard work. Nottage says Sebastiano never misses a practice or workout, and he stays after practices to throw around with his quarterback.

He even assembled his highlight reel on YouTube, a task for which players usually ask coaches for help.

Though he only has an official scholarship offer from FAU and an offer of financial aid from Cornell, he has had plenty of communication with Wisconsin, Illinois, Wake Forest, South Carolina and Rutgers.

Sebastiano still hearing from Gamecocks
By Eric Guimaraes

WR AJ Sebastiano (6-1 189) of Broward, FL has offers from Florida Atlantic and Cornell and says he continues to hear from USC. "I talked to coach (Steve) Spurrier, Jr a couple of weeks ago right before they beat 'Bama," he said. He just recently put together his first highlight video and sent it to USC, Nebraska, Central Florida, Rutgers, Wisconsin, and Memphis. Sebastiano will take an official visit to Cornell and would like to take visits to Nebraska and Memphis as well. He has already visited USC and likes the school but has not been to a game in Columbia. "If they ask me to come back for a visit, I'll would definitely like to go." Sebastiano does not have any favorites.
