Big bodied lineman who can move well for a kid his size. Smart, and takes to coaching quickly. Has great power and strength. When he gets his hands on someone, he usually wins. He has exceptional punch and can knock defenders off balance easily. He still is somewhat raw with his hand placement and technique, and is a tad top heavy, but has a ton of raw ability, and the type of aggressive, hard working attitude you want in a lineman. - Allen Trieu

OFFERS: Illinois, E. Michigan, & Kansas... INTEREST: Miami-FL, OSU, Wisconsin, Colorado, _ichigan, Michigan St., Miami-OH... The former ND coaches were recruiting Bryant pretty heavily but the new staff hasn't contacted him yet other than some letters... Thinks he'll end up at OG in college which is fine with him... No leader, no timetable...

Bryant has the size & strength to compete with the best but he could firm up a bit... He's athletic & plays with a lot of "pop"... His technique is very good & he's very coachable... Should see his offer list blow up after his showing...

Sam Webb: Recruiting
DeAnthony Arnett among brightest stars at Michigan Football Showcase

...
If Mullen was the biggest out-of-state riser among the skill position players, then Chicago Simeon guard Chris Bryant was the biggest among the lineman. Standing 6-5 and weighing in at 330, he tossed opponents around like rag dolls and was lighter on his feet than expected.

"Bryant moves well for a kid his size," said Trieu. "He's athletic, has good feet, and what I really liked was that he took to the coaching and worked hard from start to finish. The coaches were really getting on him to use his punch, and after that, that's when we saw his power and ability to just stone defensive linemen. He still needs more of that technical work, but he picks it all up really fast."

Bryant currently holds offers from Illinois, Eastern Michigan and Kansas, and plans to visit Michigan State next weekend. Michigan's facilities made a strong impression on the youngster and the Wolverines are among those that he hopes to hear more from.

An old article (from March), but I like the bolded above. Sounds like he's not bound to home school Illinois, we're his first big time offer, still no offer from his childhood favorite, and despite already having 4 OL's already committed, he would be the only for sure T if he were to come here (Tommy Brown could play inside or outside).

Looking forward to this offer becoming official.

OSU told him they are looking at him as a guard...which leads me to believe that one of Underwood/Brown/Carter has the potential to start out his OSU career on defense...
