'11 IL OL Chris Bryant (Michigan Signee)

OSU told him they are looking at him as a guard...which leads me to believe that one of Underwood/Brown/Carter has the potential to start out his OSU career on defense...

You mentioned Underwood, Brown and Carter, but what about Farris? He is a big, athletic kid. You posted a good article about him that stated he could be better suited for the offensive side of the ball (10/13 post).

Just curious if he is being looked at only for the defensive line or if he is being recruited as a big athlete which will find a position when he gets on campus. He seems like a perfect fit for future LT with his size and athletic ability (on film..never seen him live).

Edgy Tim O'Halloran's football recruiting notes | Richmond-Burton's Adam Pittser picks Wyoming; Simeon's Chris Bryant visits Michigan

Bryant goes to Ann Arbor: Simeon offensive tackle Chris Bryant made an official visit last weekend to Michigan, where he was one of 113,411 to witness Michigan's 5-0 hockey victory against Michigan State at Michigan Stadium.

"Any game at Michigan, especially in the Big House, is going to be loud," said Bryant, a 6-foot-5, 330-pound senior. "It was a very exciting game. They came out with the 'W' and it was real fun sitting in the stands in the Big House with the football team and my friends."

Bryant is considering taking official visits to Illinois and Stanford. Ohio State has also started showing Bryant some late recruiting interest.

Simeon's Bryant to hit road again?: Simeon senior offensive tackle Chris Bryant (6-5, 330) has been off of the official visit circuit after making December trips to Arizona (Dec. 3) and to Michigan (Dec. 10th).

When will he hit the road again?

"I had really good visits to both Arizona and Michigan," Bryant said. "I just want to make sure that I get out and see as many schools in person as I can before making my final decision.

"Sometimes I feel like shutting it down, and other days I want to make more visits. These days I feel like waiting and taking more official visits."

Bryant, who recently started to draw more serious looks from Ohio State, is considering taking January official visits there as well as to Illinois and Stanford.

Rivals$--Chris Bryant may be done with officials (Michigan)

Chris says he isn't sure if he will visit tOSU in January and is unsure where he stands with the Buckeyes due to the dead period.

In my opinion, the fact that there is uncertainty is telling. I imagine that if he were a high priority he would know it or at least have been given some strong hints before the dead period. Another key factor in understanding where Bryant stands would seem to be the fact that Walker was permitted to take his official visit.

Bryant narrows list: Simeon senior offensive tackle Chris Bryant (6-foot-5, 335 pounds) has narrowed his list of favorites to two ? Michigan and Arizona ? while Ohio State has an outside shot.

"Ohio State is the only other school I'll consider making any more official visits to," Bryant said. "I'd consider visiting Ohio State if they offer me a scholarship. I just want to focus in on a few schools and then make my final choice from those schools."

Bryant plans to announce his decision Jan. 21 during a press conference at Simeon.
