'11 IL OL Chris Bryant (Michigan Signee)

I dont understand why we arent recruiting this guy hard, or why he doesnt have a offer.
I don't understand why you are baffled. Right now he's a lower tier offer, choosing between Illinois, Stanford and Michigan.

That doesn't mean he can't play, many great prospects emerge from rankings like this, but it makes it quite understandable why he doesn't have an offer from the higher echelon of programs.

Better offers than most of our OL class, if you want to use that measuring stick.

I think Chris projects as a guard, his teammate, who is a junior is supposed to project as a great LT.

Football recruiting | Maine South QB Matt Alviti adds offer from Illinois; Simeon's Chris Bryant postpones announcement

Bryant postpones announcement: Simeon senior offensive tackle Chris Bryant has rescheduled a press conference to announce his college decision.

Bryant planned to announce his decision Jan. 21 but said he will hold off until the 28th or 29th. The change of plans is a result of Michigan firing Rich Rodriguez.

"With all these coaching changes, my announcement is going to be pushed back a week just so I can get things straight and see who is landing where," said Bryant, who is 6-foot-5, 330 pounds.

Bryant is considering Michigan, Arizona, Illinois and Ohio State. He has offers from all except Ohio State. Bryant has made official visits to Michigan and Arizona and has no other official visits set.

I worded it poorly...he hasn't heard from the Buckeyes since the dead period ended but says he expects them to contact him this week.

No you were good to go. I was just speculating about the exact connection between the delay and possible contact from Ohio State.
