I really like Carradine. I like him more than Newsome and Muldoon. Incredibly fast off the edge, and if he can put weight on and keep his speed he could be something special. I hope more than anything that we can find room for him in this class.

He will get a bunch of sacks wherever he ends up.

From O&B News...talks about how much he enjoyed his visit to Illinois and meeting the staff. The Illini coaches are also the only ones to contact him so far (since the quiet period ended). Plans to visit Cincinnati and Purdue soon. Has over 20 offers and plans to camp at close to 10 different schools.

Biggest thing I noticed was how smart the kid plays. Admittedly, the highlight reel doesn't show many mistakes, but he seems to know when to get up field and when to stay home. I wish we could see him against some better competition, he seems to make a lot of plays abusing big slow lineman by simply shooting past them. Like what I've seen of him in the open field - for example, sniffing out the WO screen in the Rivals film and staying home on the reverse. He looks like he's got the frame to add some serious mass - to me, he physically resembles an undeveloped Vernon Gholston with better football instincts. This kid could be a real player at the next level, if he can add some muscle mass without losing the quick first step.

If there was an all airport team, this kid would be on it...He is just ripped...His arms are freakin huge...A solid 6'5''...Stood and talked to Posey quite a bit yesterday...

He is still waiting for the O-state offer...

He did not work out yesterday due to working late the night before and being tired from that and a workout the day before as well...But he was there interacting with recruits...

From O&B News...isnt' sure who all of his newest offers are from but says he knows Michigan has offered. Will wait until after officials to pick a school. Has a trip planned with his coach in July which includes stops at NC State and Illinois.

This kid knows so little about his own recruitment...

You wonder how Dick Rod is going to be getting Tank into his class consdering his grades are not exactly top of the class. I wish Tank the best. I always hoped he would be in the Buckeye class of 09.

Yeah we will see...It will be a struggle to get him in I think...If he does get in I hate the fact that he might be going to Michigan...

'Tank' still up in air
Posted by TomGroeschen at 8/11/2008 12:00 PM EDT on Cincinnati.com

Taft football DE Cornelius "Tank" Carradine is the top remaining uncommitted Cincinnati senior on the Rivals.com football board. Carradine (6-5, 205) has not begun to narrow his choices, Taft coach Mike Martin said today.

"He's getting calls from almost all the Big Ten and Big East schools, all the MAC schools," Martin said. "N.C. State, Nebraska ... they're all still calling," Martin said.

Carradine is rated the No. 19 senior overall in Ohio by Rivals.com. He is the No. 4-rated local player by Rivals.com behind Middletown DB Deejay Hunter (Tennessee commit), Sycamore RB Bud Golden (Illinois) and Winton Woods DB Chris Williams (Cincinnati).

Rivals lists Carradine's offers as Cincinnati, Illinois, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Pitt, Wisconsin and Miami (O). From the looks of it, don't expect a commitment soon as Carradine weighs where he wants to visit.

Anybody have the low down on this kid?

Seems like grades might be a concern but some have hinted there may be something else. If you don't feel comfortable answering on here, you can PM me or even a link if anything has been put up on it. Thanks alot.
