Butler defensive lineman Cornellius Carradine tackles Coffeyville running back Mukoh Kalokah for a loss during second quarter action of the Grizzlies? 38-26 victory over Coffeyville, spoiling the Ravens? Homecoming festivities.

Butler took the lead with 3:25 in the second quarter when Coffeyville quarterback Cayden Cochran lost the ball as he was sacked and Cornellius Carradine picked it up and scampered 39 yards for a touchdown. The extra point made the score 19-12, which is how it remained by halftime.

This would be a great pick-up IMO. We have a lot of question marks at DE next season, and he could provide instant depth and will be "college" ready.

Agreed, I know Steve Miller, and Kenny Hayes are going to be good but they might not be ready to play right away. This kid is two years older than them, and has played two years of JC.

BN $ - No. 1 JC Lineman Barreling Towards Ohio State?

10/21

By BK...his coach calls him the top JUCO DL...thinks his top four are Ohio State, Alabama, South Florida and Florida State...also looking at Tennessee, Kansas State and Ole Miss (all offered as well as USC, Oregon and Arizona)...may visit OSU 12/11.

If he does visit, that would mean OSU gets the last one as the signing day for mid-year JUCOs is 12/15...

Down to Noles and Bulls for top JUCO DE

One of the top JUCO prospects in the nation for 2011 is Butler DE Cornellius Carradine. Originally from Taft High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. The 6-foot-5, 255-pound pass rusher was unable to qualify and landed in Butler, Kansas.

Today Noles247.com caught up with his uncle, Jesse Carradine, for the latest in his recruitment. Jesse has been the guardian of Cornellius since he moved in with him when he was around seven or eight years old. He is handling Cornellius' recruitment as he focuses on his school work. Cornellius is expected to graduate in December.

"This week FSU came in and offered," said Jesse Carradine. "He (Cornellius) is very interested to see what they have to offer. We are working on setting up an official visit right now with coach (Darin) Eliot at FSU."

For now the only official visit Carradine has planned is a trip to USF in late October.

"Cornellius and I will be flying down to Tampa on October 30th."

Continued...

"I would say USF is his favorite right now. It's between USF and FSU. He was very interested in USF but it changed with the offer because now he is talking about FSU."

"Cornellius has been in contact with Coach (Kevin) Patrick for a long time now. I know they have a great relationship."

His uncle says Cornellius has offers from all over the country including Alabama, Kansas, Ohio State, Arkansas and Illinois. But he?s certain Cornellius is headed to play football somewhere in Florida.

I had thought he was a sure fire for like USF, FSU, or some other southern schools. I know nothing about this kid, do we have legit standing here?

He would most likely start in place of cam next year, kid is a monster. I thought before i read that his uncle or his dad said he is for sure going somewhere in florida.. hopefully not.
