Palm Beach Central junior receiver Angelo Jean-Louis working to make a name for himself - pbgametime.com

Palm Beach Central's Angelo Jean-Louis doesn't hesitate to tell you the two things in life he's most thankful for - football and his mother ... and not in that order.

The junior wide receiver is one of six brothers and two sisters raised by a single mother. The family moved to the United States from Haiti when he was three and he clearly realizes the sacrifices his mother made for him and his siblings.

"I owe everything to my mom, I know I wouldn't be here without her," Jean-Louis said. "She works so hard everyday to take care of us and has taught me that if I keep working hard, good things will happen."

Good things are happening to the 6-foot, 190-pound Jean-Louis, who is considered one of top junior receivers in the country.

Continued...

Though only a junior, Jean-Louis, who runs the 40-yard dash in 4.4 seconds, said he's getting interest from top-name colleges. He's considering Southern Cal, Ohio State, Florida and Miami but "I don't really have a favorite yet, but if I had to pick one, I guess Miami," he said.

Angelo Jean-Louis of Palm Beach Central is another elite receiver prospect in Florida, but unlike Howard, the Bucks will have to do some harder work for his services. Miami, Florida State, Florida, West Virginia, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, USC, Virginia Tech, and USF are his other offers right now and it will be really tough to lure him out of the home state. He has said he likes OSU a lot when asked, but I still think the Bucks are on the outside looking in on Miami, FSU, and UF when it comes down to the nitty gritty. Once again, look for any type of visit here over the next 3-4 months. If he doesn't get to Columbus before the end of summer, I put chances on landing him from possible to doubtful.

Seemed like a great athlete but I am glad he made his choice early and clearly public. I believe we have a real shot at a few other high value WR's in this class and with Angelo making his decision we can focus more on the remaining targets. This may seem like a obvious statement but I hate to see a great recruit wait long into the process and occupy so much of the coaches time when it could have been invested elsewhere.
