Jordan holds offers from Arizona, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida State, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Michigan State, Mississippi, Northwestern, Northern Illinois, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oregon, Purdue, Stanford, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, West Virginia and Wisconsin. He is planning on narrowing things down soon.

Simeon junior offensive tackle Jordan Diamond has not visited his top five schools ? Auburn, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio State and Wisconsin ? but will begin the process this weekend when he checks out Wisconsin.

"I want to get a better feel for all five schools and I want to visit all of them in person," said Diamond, who is 6-foot-6, 288 pounds.

Diamond said he might make a decision earlier than he had planned.

"Maybe sometime this summer," he said. "I just keep thinking that it would be good to be able to get it off my chest and to not have to worry about recruiting during the season.

"I really want to stay focused on my season, but if I feel that I'm not totally ready to commit then I'll wait until after the season."

The same way former tOSU players who are working out in the offseason meet kids on-campus. If it was off-campus, it would be an issue.

stowfan is right, Diamond seems to be a Michigan lean.

A Michigan blog recently posted an interview with Jordan Diamond's mother done by URecruit's Tom VanHaaren

Most notably:

  • Has been on all the visits with Jordan, she mentions enjoying: Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Ohio State, and Notre Dame (No mention of Auburn).
  • Also said, "I loved Ohio State believe it or not. I think they showed us the best time when we went there."
  • However, sounds like the family might already be planning a move to Michigan: "My mom lives in Saginaw, Michigan. That's pretty close to the university. She wants to move back to Chicago because that's where she's from. I've asked her to stay there for now because if Jordan goes to Michigan then I would probably move there soon."
  • Jordan will be at the Sound Mind Sound Body Camp in Southfield, MI next week. Brandon Graham and Joseph Barksdale are scheduled to be guest speakers at the camp.
  • While in Michigan this week, Jordan will take another visit to Ann Arbor.
  • It sounds like location is a factor. When asked if he will be taking any more visits, his mother told the interviewer, "I don't believe we'll be doing any more traveling far away."
