'12 MI LB James Ross (Michigan Signee)

Rivals $ - James Ross details meeting with Michigan

2/21

By TheWolverine...spent time getting to know Coach Hoke and the staff...talks about how they see him fitting in their scheme...says he did a little dance when Coach Haynes broke the news to him.

OSU has a really good shot here...love this offer and very excited about seeing a LB class of at least Perry and possibly Ross...anything beyond that [Rippy] is just gravy...

Greg Mattison has told both LB James Ross and LB Royce-Jenkins Stone that they will be the next Ray Lewis. Glad to see he's being realistic. 18 minutes ago via web

Clever move...

Hmmmmm.... didn't know that Ray played the WILL in Baltimore. That is what Mattison and Ross' family talked about. He told James that they wanted a little bigger guy at the MIKE and Ross' speed from sideline to sideline and off the edge would be better a romaing WILL spot. Good try tho.

As a diehard Michigan fan, I honestly cannot say that anything, other than depth chart, is in Michigans favor when it comes to LB play. I envy the LB corps I see every year from your team. Always seems that with quality players leaving, the production will take a hit, but it is plug and play for you guys. Very impressive. Hopefully Michigan can grab both Roos and Royce, but never comfortable going up against the Bucks for a big time recruit.

I think Hoke will contend for recruits much more than RichRod did. And hopefully our depth at linebacker doesn't scare Ross or Rippy away.

You can have Roos, we'll take Ross, sound like a deal?

You guys are greedy with LBs. Isn't Curtis Grant enough. That kid reminds me of Vontaze Burfict without the stupid penalties. Looks like a Frosh AA. Hated seeing him pick the Bucks on signing day. I think that is enough for you guys.

As Gordon Geko says "Greed is good".
