Your response is what makes fans look like idiots. /Thump'd

The 100K part was a joke, but the bidding part for Muhammed most certainly was not.... Don't know if anything changed hands in Noel's case, but it wouldn't be the first rodeo for UK and World Wide Wes if if did...

As a former UK student I can tell you without a doubt something fishy is going on. Brandon Knight and Demarus Cousins both pushing Range Rover's is shady. The amount of money they throw around is shady. They have turned the basketball program in little more than an NBA training camp to these kids.

I personally hate what they have turned the great university into when it comes to the way the basketball players are treated. They honestly don't have to do shit.

Then there is World Wide Wes. Most fans will turn a blind eye as long as they continue to win, but the APR is going to catch up. Some of the transgressions will catch up. Have fun trading the University integrity for basketball win's.

Elite Kentucky Recruit Attracts N.C.A.A. Inquiry
By PETE THAMEL
Published: May 8, 2012

EVERETT, Mass. ? The N.C.A.A. sent two members of its enforcement staff to Massachusetts this week to inquire about Nerlens Noel, who is the country?s top basketball recruit and has committed to play at Kentucky.

Cindi Merrill and Frank Smith, assistant directors of enforcement with the N.C.A.A., went to Everett High School on Tuesday to meet with school officials about the 6-foot-10 Noel, who spent his freshman and sophomore years there. Merrill and Smith specialize in basketball-related issues.

The Everett High School principal, Louis Baldi, said the meeting lasted an hour and 15 minutes and centered on ?concerns we had as adults? for Noel. He said the conversation was similar to one he had with a reporter in February about Noel?s background and the people surrounding him.

?I didn?t get any sense,? Baldi said when asked about the conversation?s tone. ?It was a conversation, very collegial. That was really it. They didn?t ask me any investigative-type questions.?

Kentucky freshman Nerlens Noel has been cleared academically by the NCAA.
There was some concern that Noel might not make it academically after deciding to return to his original graduating class of 2012. He took two classes at Everett High in July and received an A in English and a B-plus in history.
"I needed two B's," Noel said. "I never studied that hard in my life."

NCAA expanding inquiry into top Kentucky recruit Nerlens Noel

The NCAA has expanded its inquiry into Kentucky freshman Nerlens Noel, one of the nation's top recruits in the class of 2012, as two NCAA enforcement officials traveled to Noel's New Hampshire prep school for a three-hour meeting in early August. The NCAA's questions focused on the cast of characters that surrounded Noel's recruitment and how Noel paid for his unofficial visits, according to a person with knowledge of the NCAA inquiry.
This is the NCAA enforcement staff's second trip to New England regarding Noel. Assistant directors of enforcement Cindi Merrill and Frank Smith also traveled to Noel's public high school in Everett, Mass., in May to meet with school officials there.
What made the NCAA's visit to Tilton intriguing is that a senior Kentucky official, UK chief compliance officer Sandy Bell, accompanied Merrill and Smith for the meeting. Bell didn't ask many questions, according to the source, but did take notes and spoke up occasionally. The presence of two NCAA enforcement officials and Bell gives the appearance that this case has gone beyond the routine checking of top prospects, according to one former NCAA investigator.
Bell did not return an e-mail and a request to comment through a spokesperson.

Noel was supposed to be part of the class of 2013 but reclassified and graduated from Titlon last spring. He took two classes at Everett High this summer to work toward qualifying at Kentucky. Noel told CBSsports.com earlier this month that he's been academically cleared to play. The NCAA didn't focus on Noel's academics in the meeting and asked mostly about the people involved with Noel's recruitment.
