'12 WV SF Elijah Macon (West Virginia Verbal)

He was considering attending Northland (As if they need anymore size) before choosing Marion-Franklin. The South Division of the City League is down this year IMO and its a toss up who will win it. I've heard very little about him, and what I have heard is that Marion-Franklin in their scrimmages has not used him to his full potential. I'm going to try to catch a couple South Division games this season, if I see MF play I'll post more details.

Eastmoor at Marion Franklin

More video of Elijah playing against Eastmoor. He has a monster jam about 3/4 of the way through the game.

More Macon

Here's video of Elijah's latest game against Eastmoor. This game went into three overtimes. I thought Elijah played a very solid game. He had some good blocks on the defensive end to go along with a decent offensive presence.

BuckeyeGrove.com - Spiece: Richmond shines on day two (free)

Not to be outdone by others in his class was Elijah Macon. The 6-foot-7 combo forward from Columbus, Ohio was on his game for the All-Ohio Red 15 and under squad. Using his athleticism and good frame, Macon finished above the rim in traffic, and also controlled the glass. More so than anything he showed where he can dominate a game against his peers, and took advantage of it leading his team to a winning effort.

BuckeyeGrove.com - Spiece: Sullinger strong on day three (free)

In the 2012 class one player in specific really stepped up. With a short bench, All-Ohio called on the services of Elijah Macon to play at the 17 and under level. The 6-foot-7 forward more than held his own against some of the best teams in the country. Using his athleticism and rebounding ability, Macon scored 12 points against Boo Williams and even hit key free throws with under 10 seconds to go to keep All-Ohio in the lead. Overall Macon made a major impression with his play, and at times was the second best player on the floor for All-Ohio.

Macon to WVU

Macon, His Call! West Virginia Lands the Bacon!*|*highmajorscoop.com

Elijah Macon, 6-foot-8, 2012, power forward from Marion Franklin, Ohio outside of Columbus has given a verbal to West Virginia University and head mentor Bob Huggins!
This decision came today (Sunday) after his departure back from the WVU Elite camp where he destroyed the competition and showed everyone why he is a top Tier ELITE prospect in the country as well as the NUMBER 1 player in Ohio for 2012!
Macon the Bacon:
Elijah is a highly skilled, outside/in, face you up, take you to the block type of forward. He is still a developing post player with his back to the basket, but he has such a high motor and gets great lift around the rim as he tears the rim off in transition. Elijah is also known for his ability to run the lanes , contest shots and also finish with put-back dunks. He is capable of shooting it from 20 feet off the catch, he has a savy basketball IQ for a 15 year old and his best years are a head of him!
