Elijah Macon, PF, All-Ohio Red- One of the more impressive 2012 prospects in attendance, the 6-foot-9 power forward has exceptional quickness. He's got pretty good touch in the lane, competes for loose balls and has an ideal basketball body with long arms and shoulders that will allow him to fill out. Freshly de-committed from West Virginia, he's easily a high major prospect who could play just about anywhere in the country.
Elijah Macon - A highly touted 2012 prospect, Macon is beginning to get it going. The athletic power forward is again playing with a lot of energy and bringing it on both ends of the floor. A big time rebounder, Macon was snatching the ball off the glass and getting it to his guard to push the pace. Also he showed off some above the rim finishes as well.
All-Ohio Red's Elijah Macon is eligible for the U-16 level, and would surely be a big boost in tomorrow's final, but is running with the 17's instead. The 2012 athletic big man listed UConn, Clemson, USC, Dayton, Cincinatti, and West Virginia as the schools at the forefront of his recruiting.

All-Ohio Super Sixteen Showcase recap
By John Stovall
ESPN Recruiting
COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The All-Ohio Super Sixteen Showcase had some strong Ohio flavor as practically all of the top programs from the Buckeye State participated, as well as top teams from Michigan, Indiana, West Virginia and even New York. This event continues to be a main stop on the spring calendar.
Standout players
Elijah Macon (Columbus, Ohio/Marion-Franklin)
2012, PF, 6-9, 220 pounds | Team: All Ohio Red
College: Undecided
When fully engaged, he is a bundle of active energy in the paint. Very athletic, he possesses a second leap in the paint that is just as high and powerful as his first. He has average hands but his activity allows him to secure rebounds and passes in the paint. Macon has a solid face-up game that includes a 17-foot jumper and slashes to the basket. Macon has developed into a Top 50 player with the upside for even more improvement.
PF/C Elijah Macon is leaving Columbus Marion Franklin to attend Huntington Prep (W.Va.) for his senior season.
Here?s a sneak preview of some prospects who will draw the attention of Matta and his assistants this month:
Elijah Macon
Height, Weight: 6-8, 210
Position: Power Forward
School: Columbus Marion-Franklin
ESPN Ranking: 11th among PFs, 44th overall in class of 2012
Considering: Ohio State, West Virginia, Xavier
Camp This Week: Reebok Breakout Challenge
Outlook: Macon committed very quickly to coach Bob Huggins and West Virginia when he was still a developing player at Marion-Franklin. He later gave that move more thought and decommitted from the Mountaineers, although now there are concerns with his academic standing. Still, Macon is the kind of talent the OSU coaches should at least continue to track and could even merit an offer if he can steady the ship. He?s super explosive and has big, strong hands that allow him to finish with authority around the basket. Macon has potential to hone his game and become an effective midrange shooter and varied scorer. But he?s simply at his best receiving the ball on the break, changing direction and finding the rim, often with an exclamation point. He also can rebound well in traffic and outlet the ball quickly. He would have been considered the best player in the Columbus City League last season if it weren?t for the presence of Northland guard Trey Burke, who is now a Michigan Wolverine.
