Mark Andrews (TE Baltimore Ravens)

And he's on campus today :)

Nice! Andrews is easily my favorite target for the TE position, with Bunting and Blazevich behind him. Great athleticism and ceiling for the position, but his receiving skills are fairly well developed. Plus, his teammate Kyle Allen could be a nice option at QB should we miss on Watson.

I think recruiting Andrews as a TE will get you dropped from his list. I think he sees himself as a true WR and I can't say I disagree.

I may be wrong, but under UFM I don't think many kids with a 4.7 40 time will get a shot as a "true WR", 6'6" or not.

You're assuming the other times are legitimate. There are a remarkable number of 4.4 prospects out there yet a tiny handful at the combine.

There is also the matter of whether he has been properly trained to run that race, let alone whether he has a lot of room to improve his S&C and running technique.

OSU has tons of slots as well as 6' athletes. They are thin on tall split ends. There is a reason they are chasing Kief, Harris, Todd and Andrews. Kitt is the exception and he is listed at 6'1" on rivals

Scout $ - Andrews sees the Midwest's best

4/23

By Hickey....Recaps visits to tOSU, Michigan & Notre Dame. Really enjoyed the Ohio State staff & how everyone treated him on his visit. Says the staff sees him as a big WR that will cause major issues for defenses. No other visits planned & will start to narrow his focus over the summer.

I really like Roberts the best of the TE candidates. We like to compare a lot of these TE recruits to Hernandez, but in his case it is actually somewhat realistic. I don't think he will ever be over 240, but he could line up in the backfield and actually get some carries like Hernandez. Kind of an evolution of the Zach Boren role from early in the season.

Seems like Andrews may be in the mix for big outside WR. I am thinking we take two at most in this class, maybe only one, with Andrews and Kief the leading candidates right now (I think Kitt is an outside WR also, but I am putting the 6'4+ guys in their own category as we are in good shape going forward with smaller guys, but could really use some big red zone guys).
