Buckeyes offer 2014 DB Quincy Wilson

2014 defensive back Quincy Wilson (Ft. Lauderdale, Fla./Unversity School of Nova Southeast) picked up another big offer on Thursday afternoon from the Ohio State Buckeyes.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound corner prospect, who also has offers from Auburn, Florida, Clemson, LSU and West Virginia, says he was excited to receive the Ohio State offer.

"It's great to get an Ohio State offer," Wilson said. "I'm very interested in them and I want to learn more about what they have to offer."

By The Bank.....Offered by Coach Meyer after camp & also spoke with Coach Fickell & Coach Coombs. Was able to see campus yesterday before camping today. Says Ohio State is high on his list, again saying he has always liked the Buckeyes.

Quincy Wilson wants to vist one of 'Big 3'

CINCINNATI -- This summer, Quincy Wilson (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./University School) spent time making visits to schools outside of Florida. During the fall, his early plans are to keep it in state, and he has one school in mind he thinks he might visit.

?Maybe Florida but I haven?t really gotten into any of that,? the 2014 cornerback said. ?I?ve always had interest in Florida. I know a DB there, Cody Riggs.

A fellow Fort Lauderdale product, Riggs was a 2010 Under Armour All-American and has played in every game since his freshman season at Florida. Of those 26 games, 13 were starts, including three as a freshman.

Riggs is not pushing the Gators on Wilson, though.

?He?s telling me to take my time with the recruiting process and to make a decision wherever I feel is home,? Wilson said.

This summer, nearby Miami (Fla.), Auburn and Ohio State received visits from the 6-foot-2, 190-pound Wilson.

?I met Urban Meyer and (assistant) Coach (Kerry) Coombs and developed a good relationship with them,? he said.

Says his relationship with the coaching staff & being able to play corner will be the biggest factors in his decision.

Very positive update. I'm starting to look at it as a good thing for OSU whenever a recruit says relationship with coaching staff is his biggest factor. Our guys are as good as anyone in that area. With both Coombs and Meyer already building this relationship since last summer, I like our chances.

I would also think with the staffs focus on recruiting tall corners, that we are recruiting him as a CB.
