Two offers stand out for RB Nick Chubb
December, 29, 2012
By Kipp Adams | ESPN.com

Running back Nick Chubb (Cedartown, Ga./Cedartown) made a name for himself in Georgia this season. The 5-foot-11, 208-pound junior rushed for 2,721 yards and 38 touchdowns, more than any running back in state history in a 10-game regular season.

For those that follow recruiting, Chubb could soon become a household name. Tennessee, Ohio State, Purdue and Georgia Tech have offered Chubb so far, and two of those offers stick out in his mind right now.

?Ohio State and Tennessee stand out,? Chubb said. ?I talked to Tennessee a couple weeks ago and they make me feel like I am a priority for them, so I like that. I talk to [Ohio State assistant] Stan Drayton a lot and he tells me to keep up the good work. I like the Ohio State uniforms and how much they win.?

Both UGA and Georgia Tech offer RB Nick Chubb

9:22 pm December 31, 2012, by Michael Carvell
One of the biggest stars from the RisingSeniors Bowl already has an early scholarship offer from Georgia Tech.
And there?s another one on the way from UGA.
Nick Chubb, a 5-foot-11, 210-pound running back from Cedartown High School, said he talked over the telephone with UGA assistant Bryan McClendon, who told him that he will have an offer from the Bulldogs.

Chubb?s family likes the idea: They are all Georgia fans. ?Yes, they are. And I grew up liking them. But I kind of like doing my own thing.?
He will make an unofficial visit to Ohio State on Jan. 10.

UGA's Mark Richt makes time for one of state's top juniors

By Michael Carvell
You?re a pretty big deal if you?re a high school junior and Mark Richt stops by to see you three weeks from signing day.
Cedartown High School?s Nick Chubb is a pretty big deal.
He?s likely the state?s No. 1 prospect at running back for 2014.
Richt stopped by Cedartown on Monday in between visits to Walton and Kell high schools, among other places.
?It went good,? Chubb told the AJC. ?He came up to see me. We didn?t talk much but he just wanted me to know that they?re interested in me.?
?It always means a lot when a head coach comes by to see you.?

Chubb plans to make unofficial visits to Georgia Tech on Jan. 20, Alabama on Jan. 26, and Ohio State on Feb. 10.
