When Michigan offered Bolingbrook (Ill.) sophomore cornerback Parrker Westphal, they were just the second team to do so, joining West Virginia. Just a couple weeks later, Westphal is one of the hottest sophomore recruits in the nation, gaining offers from Ohio State, Notre Dame and Florida, among others. In fact, the offers are coming in so quickly, he can hardly keep track of who has extended one.

?Michigan, Purdue, Florida, Notre Dame, Cincinnati, Illinois, Iowa,? Westphal said. ?It?s already getting to where I forget a couple of them.?

Westphal?s 6-foot-1, 181-pound frame and excellent athleticism have college coaches hot on his trail. He is one of just a few 2014 prospects with double-digit offers and more are likely to come.

With so many options already, it?s easy for Westphal, nearly two years away from signing a national letter of intent, to start the decision-making process now. To cut down his list, the family is planning on making some campus visits this summer, including one to U-M.

?It?ll be definitely this summer,? said his father, Brian. ?We just want to try to get him visits as we can, where it doesn?t interfere with football, and try and get rid of the distraction.

?If he doesn?t make a decision down the road for a long time, that?s going to be a big distraction for a long time.?

Parrker is most interested in visiting U-M, Ohio State and West Virginia this summer. The Wolverines also have a familiar face in their corner when it comes to his recruitment.
