I just saw that Okafor plans on making his college decision before his senior season starts. I like to hear that for two reasons. A) Matta only gets big fish to sign in the fall signing period, and B) if Okafor picks someone else it will leave time for OSU to get another big (although as I said before Matta hasn't had success in getting top recruits in the spring for whatever reason). The sooner, the better if you ask me.

Apparently Thad Matta is trying to make a move on Jahlil Okafor according to the tweet. It is not hard to see why Matta likes the young center and it does not hurt that Okafor has showed interest in the past. It probably does not hurt either that Okafor is a package recruiting deal with the top ranked point guard in the country Tyus Jones.

Thad Matta just finished watching Jahlil Okafor. Didnt see any other head coaches of significance n his recruitment.

It would be a double whammy move to land even one of these two, because the other will most likely follow. You can tell they have fallen in love with the idea of going to college together and would probably do it even if basketball wasn?t involved.

It will not be official until they are both signed, but it seems to be a surety at this point.

official visits set...no official for the Bucks, last official with Tyus Jones at Duke...read into it what you will

Baylor on Aug. 30, Kentucky on Sept. 9, Arizona on Oct. 11, Kansas on Oct. 18th and Duke on Oct. 25.

Okafor will also take unofficial visits to Illinois, Michigan State and Ohio State, but each of those schools is undoubtedly unhappy they didn't make the cut for his official visit list.

Jahlil Okafor Cuts to 4

Jahlil Okafor has cut his list to four schools, he told Evan Daniels of Scout.com at USA Basketball in Colorado Springs, Colo.

The 6-foot-10 Chicago big man is down to Baylor, Duke, Kansas and Kentucky.

Arizona, Illinois, Michigan State and Ohio State are out.
