'14 JUCO OL Jermaine Eluemunor (UCLA & Arkansas decommit; Texas A&M Verbal)

"Are you saying that JE is not going to be a Buckeye?"

I'm trending towards that conclusion.
See wad's post above (he has chops) and from what I have gleaned from Mr. Kurelic.

From what I gather, this has more to do with JE and less to do with the staff slow playing him. Time will tell, but I think he'll end up a Buckeye.

"another rousing success by the dean. good work."

The take away from Mr. Kurelic's post was that he would not be verbaling this past friday.
He nailed that, and that is the critical data point.

He didn't issue "===" to JE as a certain "insider" on another site did.

For that I give this round to Sir William!

Back to JE.

I don't posit to be a film expert as most internet posters do, but am heartened by the fact that a bonafide poster on this board prefers Mavety.

Is it possible we slow played JE, with the goal of only procuring 1 JUCO?

I realize this is off-topic and thus probably should be split, but what is it with you and Kurelic? In the last 15 or so posts in this thread, you've referred to him as "The Dean of Recruiting," "Mr. Kurelic," and "Sir William." This, coupled with your seeming need to defend and credit BK whenever possible, is some combination of sad, obsessive, creepy and disturbing.

BK = BKB = everyone = CDiddy.

Is it possible FSU and Arkansas got in his ear and changed his mind?

I think this is exactly what happened. He verbaled to UCLA & was set to visit Ohio State in the days following. I think JE loves the recruiting game & is the type of kid that falls in love where ever he visits. I believe he did verbal to the Ohio State staff and was convinced by the Arkansas staff (atleast) to take a visit prior to announcing his decision on Friday. Do I think Ohio State is out of the game? Absolutely not. Do I think they're slow playing him? Absolutely not. I think they'd take both Mavety & Eluemunor (provided there's room) and not think twice about it.

So I guess in closing, I don't stand with wade (sorry bro, probably first time ever lol), diddy or "Sir William" (:so:).

The problem with trying to predict our OL class is the varying amount of eligibility each prospect has. With limited schollys the only way the coaches would take Eluemunor, who has 1 year of eligibility, over Knox, Prince, or Nelson, who each have 4 years of eligibility, assuming one or more of them wanted to be Buckeyes, would be because of a huge difference in ability. Throw Mavety into the mix with 2 years of eligibility and you see what the coaches are dealing with.
If Eluemenor becomes a Buckeye, I'd have to assume that the coaches like him a whole lot more than any of the other guys.

Or they see an immediate need in the 2014 season, despite potentially missing out on someone with possibly a higher ceiling.

I thought all JUCO's had 3 years to play 2 years of eligibility, no exceptions...

Depends on when he first enrolled in college and how many years he actually played JUCO football. Basically you have 5 years to play 4 football seasons. Unless of course, there is an injury/illness and he gets another medical redshirt year, etc.
