#16 Ohio State vs. Cincinnati, Wednesday, November 6 @ 8:30pm, FS1

Well...just finished on record and glad I didn't comment on the end of the first half. Something about if you have nothing nice to say, then don't say it at all. The first half was the worst half of basketball I have seen...not just Ohio State, both teams. Young put the team on his back and saved us from an early loss. K. Wesson had some nice defensive plays.

Glad to get the win over the Juggalos and its early, but things better look way better moving on.

AWesson with 9 of OSUs 29 FGA in the 1st half. That’s never going to be a recipe for success.

things did look way better... in the second half.

osu's game was not an isolated incident. the duke-ku game was just as bad. uva-cuse was pathetic. sure, the cavs won by 14, but they scored only 48 while committing 16 turnovers and shooting 4/25 behind the arc. play a tough foe in the very first game and chances are it's not going to be pretty.

i'd feel MUCH worse if osu played well in the first half but horribly in the second. instead, in the second half, osu shot 55% overall, 56% behind the arc, and 79% from the line. there was a night-and-day difference between the halves. the second-half team should do a lot of damage this year.

furthermore, we shouldn't diminish the other side of the court. osu's defense was outstanding. this uc team is not the uc teams under cronin. they have players who can shoot. they have a lot of experience. but osu kept them to 33% overall and 19% behind the arc while holding them to under 60 points. andre was an unsung hero with his stifling defense on jarron.

as stated before, there are lots to be happy with regarding that game. i'm choosing to focus on the progress rather than the slow start.

All good points. Looking around, the only teams that looked good are the teams who played a bad mid major. Definitely hard to take anything away about how good this team is based on the opponent.

I think a lot of us saw last year flashing before our eyes with the offensive struggles in the first half. Actually worse because last year's team, while offensively challenged, generally played good fundamental basketball. Just couldn't get the ball into the hoop. First half yesterday was just terrible basketball all around.

RE: Bearcats @ Ohio State Nov 6th 8:30 PM Who's going??

Makes you really wonder if corruption exists in College basketball. I mean, with the money OSU has, I could see someone greasing these refs palms and saying "No way we lose to Cincinnati". If it can happen in our government, it can happen here.
