Las Vegas (NV) Centennial HS

Height: 6-foot-5
Weight: 185 lbs

Strengths:
Brown is a sinewy guard prospect with extraordinary length. He is a combo-guard who snaps two-handed passes in the half court set that always land in the shooter's pocket. He advances the ball in transition and shows a nice feel for the game overall. In transition, he has the skill to attack the basket and he has a nifty runner /floater in his arsenal.

Weaknesses:
Brown needs to continue to learn the nuances of the point guard position. For example, high screen-and-roll and pick-and-pop will add to his skill set. However, the biggest area of improvement is in the area of shooting. He can knock down the 3-point shot, but he has a very low release.

Bottom Line:
Brown has an immense upside and it will be interesting to see how he develops in the coming seasons. There have been many guards in Las Vegas that had a lot of promise, but they failed to develop or reach their potential.

I do not know what Matta has in plan but he must have something without these offers going out. Centennial… too bad he does not go to the one in Columbus:)

Historically, Matta has offered 5-star prospects in basically every class, it may only be a couple but I would say it is a consistent effort. Maybe part of it is just making sure your name is out there with top prospects every year, to keep your program one that is talked about among the best players. But I suspect he's only going to get an SG in this 2017 class if it's a really good one like Brown or Trent (and perhaps this is a sign he is not confident he can get Trent anymore).

He cut his list down to 5 and we are getting an official visit September 2-4 when the football team place the Falcons. You know what they say about getting them on campus.
will officially visit Columbus the weekend of Sept. 2-4. That's the opening weekend of the football season with the Buckeyes hosting Bowling Green in Ohio Stadium.
Brown announced the dates for his five official visits on his Twitter account on Saturday. Ohio State will be first, followed by Alabama (Sept. 9-10), Oregon (Sept. 23-25), Kansas (Sept. 30-Oct. 2) and Georgetown (Oct. 5-7).

Just providing what I believe to be the most accurate information. 247sports has Cal as the current favorite, though the most recent predictions have been trending away from Cal. The most recent Crystal Ball prediction was to Arizona. Both of those teams appear to be ahead of OSU in the pecking order.
