'18 IN SF Aaron Henry (Michigan State Verbal)

Henry talks top five

Also Ohio State has a relationship with Henry. Chris Holtmann and his staff recruited Henry when he was at Butler, and now they have offered.

"They didn't offer me at Butler so that was always kind of a question for me," said Henry of Ohio State. "However Coach Holtmann explained to me that they really weren't recruiting wings in my class because they had so many on the roster, so I understood."

He continued, "I know they are a great staff and very successful. They have Musa Jallow committed already, and I think me and him would be a great duo on the wing. I like Musa a lot as a teammate, and I do think it would be fun to play with him again."

For now Henry has unofficial visits set for Xavier and Ohio State later in the month with an official to Michigan State being planned.

i don't think osu will end up in henry's top 2; however, from a pure talent/playmaking/scoring perspective, the only target i want more than henry is muhammad. and that may just be because aaron isn't a guard. henry is an elite-level threat whether penetrating, pulling up, or posting up. he also hits the boards as well as any small forward out there. the assist game is strong, too. in short, henry is absurdly underrated with a composite of 197th. i'd see no issue whatsoever ranking him in the top 50, if not the top 35. whoever gets him is getting a star.

Henry talks recent visits

About the recent trip to Columbus, Henry said, "I would definitely have a lot of opportunity to play there right away, and they are making it clear I am a priority for them. I am the first wing they are having for an official visit, so that shows how much they want me. I just have so much respect for them as a staff and how they have recruited me."

This was Henry's second time in Columbus since the beginning of his high school career, and he came away impressed with what he saw.

"I went up there a few years ago when Coach (Thad) Matta was the coach," said Henry. "Honestly I am not even sure why they had me on campus I definitely wasn't good enough then, but I did go up there once when Coach Matta was the coach. It is a beautiful campus and I really like it. The weather was great and we got to walk around and they showed me the academic buildings and told me how great the education is. I know if I went there that I would really be set for life after basketball.

Strange choice for Henry, but it's his to make. He's the lowest ranked out of a class of four forwards and they have a good shot at 2019 F Romeo Weems.

Maybe Holtmann got the word from LeDee and told Henry the offer wasn't there any more? :pimp:

henry playing like a guy whose ranking of 197th (finished at 141st) made no sense.
