I've long been with OSU_Buckguy on this. I wanted Muhammad the most of the 2018 SG offers back when we had Goodwin but after Goodwin committed to ND I started to lean heavy towards a versatile shooter like Watson... I just wasn't sure we could pull him from Missouri, he mentioned in an interview that he was a mama's boy and didn't want to go too far from home. Many schools on his list were closer.

But we got him. I am so, so stoked. He is exactly the type of SG prospect we needed to land after Dane ditching us and then the Jallow pick-up. Absolutely beautiful. Good size, athletic, solid handles and court vision, a competitor with a sweet stroke. YES.

offer to keyontae johnson now makes sense in retrospect. here's to hoping that holtmann somehow lures henry.

Muhammad > Watson, Concur OSU_Buckguy? I'd really like them to lock in that Weaver and Muhammad back court. Also would like Cohill. With a possibly 4 man class, Watson's commitment would affect my preferred class.

better but different. i think watson is a shooting forward (3) with shooting guard (2) tendencies, while muhammad is a shooting guard with point guard (1) tendencies. i could see weaver, muhammad, and watson on the court at the same time. on the other hand, i couldn't see weaver, muhammad, and cohill on the court at the same time.

if i were grouping targets based on position or scholarship spot, i would place watson, henry, ahrens, and johnson together. after looking at henry a little more, he became the most appealing target. i think he is exceptional. i don't say that just because watson de-committed. my thoughts on henry were posted before today. regardless, i certainly am disappointed that watson won't be a buckeye. there is so much to like about his overall game, especially as he becomes more consistent with his jumpshot.

"potentially" considering options closer to home....etc...this is why I never get excited about guys outside the B1G region coming to Columbus. It's all a bunch of BS if you can't get any Ohioans to come to Columbus, sorry guys. Watson is no big loss, though, I think he's solid but unspectacular myself.
