'18 OH PF Jaxson Hayes (Texas Verbal)

Ah ha, so these coaches basically piggie back off of each other! Just kidding...hey, like you said Buckguy, what can you say about growing 10 inches in three years? I bet we're too late on this one, but you never know.
i doubt holtmann is too late. hayes's best offer prior to four weeks ago was, what... ohio university? if osu is too late, then all the high major programs are too late. sure, some recruits feel insulted if an in-state school offers after out-of-state schools, but i highly doubt jaxson and his parents carry those expectations. how could they? hayes started 0 games for moeller last year. he averaged 1.1 points and 2.0 rebounds on 29% shooting overall and 31% from the line. as i stated in another thread, he is a hefty project.

disregarding how much of a project hayes is, what concerns me even more is his timidity. i hope to be proven wrong, but i see a lot of amir williams in him. sure, hayes's growth spurt is an understandable reason for his on-court apprehension. but as cooper said, if a dog is going to bite, he's going to bite as a pup.

I see more hops than Amir, and a different drive. Amir was told he was an all-American all along in HS. Hayes is just now being told he can play DI ball.

I was just speculating we were too late because he seemed to be enamored with the earliest offers of Butler, Xavier, and some of the other regional schools, but you are right, there's a lot for him to chew on now.

I'm seeing a Dallas Lauderdale at the minimum, with lots of upside.

if battin had been in david bell's class, would you have prefered bell over battin?
That is a trick question  No but I think that Hayes shows a lot more offensive potential then did Bell and Hayes athletically are probably both the same but I just think that Hayes shows more offensive skills at this stage.. Offensively, both of them are far behind battin but I just like Hayes potential.
