He might be 6-7, but I would say he plays more like he's 6-8 or 6-9 because of his long arms. I've seen some videos...always looks like he dunks easily without too much lift. Going to be an intriguing prospect for someone out there.

7. Jerome Hunter, 2018 Forward, Pickerington North
Hunter was reportedly down to Ohio State, Michigan and Pitt before Thad Matta got fired. And Michigan was the trendy pick. That would sting an Ohio State program looking to lock down players like Hunter.

Things seemed to pick up a bit for Ohio State and Hunter after another Ohio forward, Darius Bazley, decommitted from the Buckeyes in April. Perhaps some good news is that Hunter also had a Butler offer, so some familiarity with Holtmann. The Buckeyes would like to keep a local player, ranked No. 106 in the country, home.

Are you thinking it has something to do with Young?
no. and i also don't think young becoming a buckeye would affect hunter at all, at least not in a negative way. however, i somewhat doubt that holt would go after nance or bazley if young and hunter committed. not sure. at that point, i think a shooting forward would be a priority for '18. say cohill, goodwin, and hunter (and a 4/5?) were added in '18 along with beverly, young, and kaleb in '17. there would be a substantial need for a true 3. andre is the only guy that really fits the role. in my opinion, goodwin is a 2/3 tweener. perhaps most importantly, we'll be needing a guy who can adequately defend a 3.

I think the offers to Hunter and Cohill have to do with previous offers by Holtmann at Butler to those guys. I cannot say what effect any commits here would have on Bazley and Nance. I could honestly see all of them getting offered, just to emphasize the in-state approach.

In this scenario I hope that the new staff still goes after Nance hard, as I feel he is more of an all around wing ( offense, defense and rebounding, IQ ), I honestly hope they pass on Bazley not because of what he said about the buckeyes, but more so the fact that I get a Marc Loving vibe from his film and from his words regarding his competitive nature.
