PF EJ Liddell (All B1G, All-American, New Orleans Pelicans)

Also with only two of the same schools on EJ's and Mario's lists, I think the package deal is something EJ is open to but not prioritizing.
and with ksu already having a commitment from a power forward (murphy) who is much more in the mold of liddell than gaffney, i wonder how much ej will be considering them. moreover, if liddell were prioritizing a package deal like mckinney appears to be doing, then you'd think liddell would have added iowa state and/or louisville to his list.

FOUR-STAR FORWARD EJ LIDDELL INCLUDES BUCKEYES IN TOP 5 COLLEGE CHOICES

EJ Liddell, a four-star forward out of Belleville West High School in Belleville, Illinois, included the Buckeyes in his top five via Twitter — alongside Missouri, Illinois, Wisconsin and Kansas State.

Liddell is scheduled to make his official visit to Columbus on Aug. 31 and is expected to be in attendance for the football season opener on Sept. 1 against Oregon State.

The 6-foot-7, 220-pound Liddell earned Illinois Mr. Basketball and Gatorade Player of the Year honors last season, and is ranked as the No. 47 recruit in the nation, according to 247Sports.

I'd say out of the 5 schools Ohio State (and maybe Wisconsin) might be the "best basketball schools" on his sort list; Illinois, K-State, and Missouri have been the pits lately.

True on k-state, but Weber isn't the type of coach I mind going up against in recruiting.
weber has been at ksu since the 2012-13 season. excluding the first class, weber has signed only 1 player from the top 100 (96th) and only 4 more from the top 200 (143rd, 144th, 172nd, and 178th) in the 6 classes since. last tournament was also the first time ksu under weber made it past the round of 64. to be sure, weber is a recruiting foe you don't mind going up against. and on top of all of that, manhattan versus columbus and ohio state academics versus kansas state academics should be battles that weigh heavily in our favor.

now watch weber sign liddell...
