'19 OH SF Ben Roderick (Ohio Verbal)

i see miami of ohio offered a few weeks ago. still seems odd that that is his lone offer since the fall of 2017. you'd think more programs, especially in-state teams, would have come forward since then.

I was thinking the same. This is a good chance for a MAC coach to grab a key four year piece.

In our case, he is a victim of bad timing imo. Tears his ACL and is a senior in a year where we are completely loaded recruiting wise. I personally think Ahrens is a similar but superior prospect because Ahrens has a better shot and is more athletic at this point. Although Roderick has had better production in a tougher district.

Been watching him some lately and Im going to say that in about any other year he should probably be offered he is a lights out scorer a lot of his shots don't even hit the rim which means he's a pure shooter, and looking at recent film it looks like he's gaining explosion... didn't think about the affects of his injury and how he could look a lot different in that regard in a few years, even if he only becomes a McCollum type athlete he will be ok with the skill he has.

My thoughts are that we are just fine without him. He's not offered by high majors because his athleticism is meh. He isn't going to beat wings off the dribble in college and will have issues guarding quicker guys. He wouldn't see the floor at all for at least 2 years and maybe never depending on who we get in the '20 and '21 classes. would rather see the ship used in '20.

Ben Roderick with 29/11/4 in a win against Pick Central.

The kid is doing everything he can. I tend to agree with you, Wigmon. If he was elite shooter I would say definitely but he really does not provide anything particular at a stacked position at this point. I think he will be a good player but I think I would rather roll the dice on Morton, Burnett, and Che Evans.

At the very least, he's beginning to make this a stressful decision

Now that Roderick's season is done you will see more offers coming in for him. He'd be an outstanding player for the Bonnies but I think he is going to have a wider range of options to pick from here in a couple weeks.
