1977: Ohio State vs. Oklahoma on ESPN Classic

Thanks for nothing 513, after 28 years that game's thorn is still implanted firmly in my ass. 1983 was a nice win on their turf, but there is still a score to settle. "I" need another game with them. I'd love to see it next year for the NC, it NEEDS to happen. Peace.

I always watch Ohio State games on ESPN Classic, win or lose. I like to see the old Buckeye greats play.

On a side note, in all of the old films, why do the players look skinnier? Lankier if you will.

Talk about an intense crowd. It was warm and sunny with a strong south wind that day. The big flag in the south endzone was standing straight out toward the north and popping a cracking in the wind. OU had the wind at their back in the first quarter, and they used it to their advantage to build a big early lead. I still remember the roar of the crowd when the Bucks scored their first TD. In my memory, everyone in the stadium was on their feet with arms outstretched signaling touchdown! It was one of the great Ohio State comebacks I can remember and one of the great crowds. Too bad the Bucks couldn't hold on to win.

Yeah - and its the '83 game that they _NEVER_ seem to show!!

All I caught of it were glimpses on a B&W reception on the screen of a "color" portable while sailing on Lake Erie -- the wind, the win, the beer and the barbecue were great, the reception though -- lousy!

As I look at the above I realize - tough life I led back then. :)

I was at that game and decided to leave a little early to get a good seat at the bar.I heard this giant "gasp" and ran back to one of the aisles to see what was going on and it was all bad.One of the dark days at the Shoe.

Even though the Bucks lost on a good kick by the OK placekicker, this was the best game that I saw in 8 yrs at tOSU and that includes the 1980 Rose bowl loss to USC. It was a GREAT comeback. The BDBINTL added a nice touch by being gracious sports and playing the OK fight song at the end. A little sportsmanship that is sorely needed in this day/age (IMHO) : :osu:
