Davidson is a senior dominated team with 5 of their 6 top scorers being seniors.
They are not overly-tall with only one 6-9 man leading the way.
Davidson has won 6 of their last 7 games.
You can be sure that Davidson will come to play. On paper, we definitely have the upper hand, but this is march and there's something to be said for seniority and leadership in these times.
Look at Iowa and us for instance: Iowa brings back 8 players from last year and we start 4 seniors. Obviously seniority means something.
I think we win this one without too many problems and it will warm us up for our next contest.
NCAA Tournament / Ohio State vs. Davidson
Dayton great consolation prize for OSU
Big Ten runner-up pleased to be playing close to home

COLUMBUS - The way Ohio State center Terence Dials figures it, a loss can turn out to be a good thing.
``Who knows, if we had won the Big Ten tournament title, we might not have gotten to play in Dayton,'' Dials said Sunday night after the Buckeyes lost to Iowa 67-60 in the conference tournament finale, then learned that they'd be playing an hour down the road in Friday's first round of the NCAA Tournament.
The No. 2-seeded Buckeyes (25-5), regular-season Big Ten champs, meet 15th-seeded Davidson (20-10), champions of the Southern Conference tournament, at the University of Dayton Arena. The start time will be announced later by the NCAA.
It'll be Ohio State's first trip to the tournament in four years.
Coach Thad Matta said playing in Dayton was a great consolation prize.
``I've been in some tournament games there in Dayton, and I'm sure we'll get lots of support,'' said Matta, whose Xavier team shocked No. 1-ranked Saint Joseph's at UD in the Atlantic 10 Tournament two years ago.
``Hopefully, it'll be a great environment.''
Surprisingly, the head of the NCAA's selection committee said Ohio State could still have earned a No. 1 seed if it had beaten Iowa on Sunday. Craig Littlepage, the athletic director at Virginia, said the committee was prepared to bump the Buckeyes up a spot in seeding.
``The Ohio State-Iowa game did have implications to the degree that we were willing to look at contingencies for the possibility of a win by Ohio State... to elevate it to a No. 1 (seed) position,'' Littlepage said.
He sounded almost relieved that the committee ultimately did not have to choose between Ohio State and the lowest-rated No. 1 seed, Memphis (30-3).
``We were well-prepared for the eventuality of Ohio State being on the second line, and we feel very good about their position,'' Littlepage said.
Matta expressed surprise when told of Littlepage's comments -- ``He said that?'' Matta said quickly -- but then declined to focus on how much weight the committee was putting on one game at the end of a lengthy and successful conference season.
``As I told the guys after the game, that one's behind us now,'' he said.
``My sentiments coming into the (Big Ten) tournament were that I was much more concerned about winning the Big Ten regular-season title. Now we move on, shifting gears.''
Ohio State will be making its 23rd appearance in the NCAA Tournament -- and will likely enter with a sense of urgency. The Buckeyes went 20-12 a year ago and would have been a shoo-in for the tournament but were victimized by the ongoing NCAA investigation of violations which took place under Matta's predecessor, Jim O'Brien.
Two months into last season, Ohio State's administration decided to hold the team out of the NCAA Tournament. That has this year's players itching to make up for lost time.
Forward J.J. Sullinger said speculation about seedings and possible opponents was a secondary consideration to players who just wanted the opportunity to close out their career on the college game's biggest stage.
``We're definitely excited about the situation,'' he said. ``They put us in Dayton. That'll be like a home atmosphere for us.''
Matta said his team has lots of areas to work on over the next four days before making the short trek west on Interstate 70.
Sorry if it has already been posted, but the game is at 12:15.

The fairy tale ends. The team has been playing with smoke and mirrors the early part of the year and has been exposed as a team that barely plays with a shred of intelligence on offense. The ride's over.
