would be a bit surprised if loveday continues on with his official to ohio state this weekend. all signs point to key committing to osu on sunday. my assumption is that key verbaled to the staff during last night's in-home visit. then again, loveday is a buckeye football fan, so i could see the visit still happening based on that alone. kind of awkward, though.

wonder what zach is thinking. even if he has been leaning towards louisville, it was probably comforting to have osu in his back pocket, especially since louisville likely has at least one post player higher up on their board. baylor is also in his top 3, but i can't see that program being a realistic destination. small-town boy from southeast ohio traveling to texas when the program already has a blue-chip big (dainja)? nah. don't see it. think zach prefers familiarity. my guess is loveday commits to louisville very soon. doors are closing.

regarding loveday, key, and the calculus involved to determine whether to focus on key or to hold out for the in-state player, i think one thing the staff has weighed here is that loveday has already been on campus a number of times. he knows the staff. the staff knows him. i doubt an official visit is going to "wow" loveday. what an official would likely do is solidify loveday's already-existing perspective. however, i think zach's affinity is for louisville. going hard after key has probably had a lot to do with the staff's belief about the strength of loveday's relationship with louisville.

louisville will visit a new 2020 frontcourt target tomorrow. crystal balls coming in for loveday to baylor, as if there is an impending announcement. don't for one second believe that loveday would pass up louisville if given the chance. kind of wonder if baylor is the destination because it's more or less the only option.
