Yeah, I've seen Schnittker blown up a couple times this half. He's a big kid too. We really need Joe to get healthy. A tailback with vision who could break a tackle or two would be nice, but I don't want to be greedy :biggrin:

Two plays that stick out in my mind...Schnittker getting pancaked and Lydell on the play action turning around and trying to help outside in protection rather than taking on the ILB coming up the middle.


Hopefully we play better this second half then we did against NC State last year in the second half...

good call grad....

schnit was getting absolutely crumpled on every iso block that was asked of him.....plays that jamar martin would have completely opened for eddie....schnit was blowing them up in the backfied...

break a tackle....i mean break a tackle.....i'd be friggin happy if he actually bounced outside of the designed hole....

I'm starting to see that DEFENSE AGAIN BABY! they are starting to shut them down...... I'm very happy with the defense thus far. Zwick will be fine jus needs to calm down a bit! we need to run behind joe ALOT more, but I doubt we will.

Halftime thoughts

1-Hopefully Joe will make a difference in the running game.

2-It seemed like the LBs stopped overpursuing and we began to shut down the Pack's running game. Bobby Washington is a stud.

3-I think Zwick has perhaps started to dial in on his receivers-the childress throw-now he needs to do it in the 2nd half. It only takes one pass on a blitz to put us up 20.

4-Look on the bright side-we could have Jay Davis at QB........

5-NC State is the biggest thug team north of Tallahassee. Amato will scoop up anyhing.....Thanks for the 2nd field goal....

4-We ought to try some of those jailbreak screens in future games.

5-Say what you will about SDSU or Marshall, but Tressel can definitely get the teams attention/focus amped up for big games-scUM,Miami,K-State,this game...

Predictions for the Second Half...?

im guessing that NCSU runs and runs and runs on nearly every play....while jt runs and runs and runs....the pack takes a 14-13 lead late and the bucks kick a late field goal to win 16-14

im calling 16-14

That was a great first half for a road game. I think Zwick will settle down in the second half. He has plays receivers open I think he is being very cautious not to turn the ball over. The defense came on strong in the 2Q their QBs inexperience is killing them. As long as the defense stays strong and the offense can do a little bit more without turning the ball over we walk out of here with a win.
