Game Thread (2004) Game Two: Marshall - 9/11/04 (W, 2-0)

Fox has an injured wrist according to ABC right now, but with the new privacy laws you never know.

We need to get Pittman in there...Ross is hesitant and cost us one TD already. Pittman runs just as well and attacks the line.

Our defense has played well overall but hasn't been dominant...dropped a couple potential INTs. Just a little more pressure on the QB and tighten up the pass coverage a tad and we're good to go. We need a turnover or two...

I heard Fox has a broken arm.

Is that true? I know he got hurt but I was hoping it wasn't that serious.
That sucks if it's true.

Zwick looks great running the spread offense and Holmes looks tougher to tackle than I imagined. Conversely, our running game looks eerily similar to last year's version :( . I hope Ross gets some creases in the second half.

there have already been three runs today where ross has taken it between the tackles and stayed there even though there was nothing available and the outside was wide open....

the same plays MOC used to bounce outside for huge gains.....

ross can gain some yardage if the hole is there and he isnt touched.....good backs make something out of nothing....ross cant do that....

The offense is clicking save for Ross.

The holes are there on the cutback, but Ross can't change direction.

Pittman is going to see some time in the second half (hopefully) and the running game will click as well.

PS Receivers must be pissed that OSU doesn't throw the ball and all they get to do is block :pissed:

I think we've seen the end of the two headed QB...
I hope so. These two are not very close as far as who is prepared for this level.
Zwick was a four year starter in high school and spent 90% of that time in the shot gun at both Orrville and Massillon.
It shows on the field. He looks very at ease in the spread offense.
