2004 Steelers & 2002 Buckeyes

sorry to burst your bubble but the steelers are not going to win the SB.

They have as good a chance as anyone considering they already pounded the other 12-1 teams, New England(Yes, I know Corey Dillon was out) and Philadelphia. If the Steelers get home field throughout the playoffs you have to like their chances as much as anyone. Unlike the NFC the AFC has several quality teams though and the road to the Super Bowl will be a tough one.

Now if you want to talk about teams with no shot of getting to the Super Bowl the Falcons come to mind.

I just really do not think they are going to make it. I said at the begining of the year it would be the COLTS. I believe its going to come down to either the COLTS or the PATROITS not the steelers.

and the little thing about the falcons, they might not make it, expecially since they have to probably play PHILLY. If Philly gets knocked out and we dont have to face them I feel real good about us making the SB.

But if we do have to play them, I think we have a pretty good shot. We know how to defend a scrambling QB, we have a good Pass rush and a pretty good Run D. And not to mention we have a HELL of a RUN O, and thats what it takes to beat Philly.

Like was stated earlier in this thread, this Steeler team has something going on that is a little like what the Bucks had in 2002. They play great "D" and have very good special teams and this will keep them in most games. They have a safe and opportunistic offense that does not often hurt them and can score points when they have to. Something was said by one of the Jet players after the game Sunday that makes me think that these Steelers might have something special going on this year. I can't remember his name but he said that he hopes that they get to play the Steelers again because he knows that the Jets would win if they played again. This is how a lot of teams felt after playing the Buckeyes.

Does any of this guarantee a Steeler Super Bowl victory or even an appearance? Hell no, but to say they have no chance is ridiculous.
