Here are a few photos of today's early morning football workouts from Terry Gilliam. Today's session was the first winter workout session of this year for the Buckeyes.

Gosh this was a great post (even if you didn't do anything but repost :))

First, we see the spring practice pics begin with Smith gettin ordered around by his daddy, JT. And our QB controversy is answered, as clearly Zwick is out of shape and lagging behind, and will have less chance of catching Smith on the depth chart than Gonzo did of Ginn in these pics.

Thanks for posting this! Pic #2 up there (with coach & Troy Smith) was a great laugh. That picture is just BEGGING for some hilarious captioning. And the guys always look like they're having so much fun in those circle drills.

I just noticed that there are two more pictures since you posted that, one of Nick Mangold and one of Nate Salley & Santonio Holmes goofing around. I don't know how to post them, could someone do the HTML-attach thing?

September can't come soon enough!

Just for the record, that is not Tressel standing in front of Smith and pointing.

And I hope you're kidding when you say that Zwick is out of shape and lagging behind Smith. And also, in case you hadn't noticed, Zwick is currently ahead of Smith on the depth chart seeing as how he still has at least one game to sit out still. Also, we all know Tressel's history of sticking with a guy until he is injured or REALLY screws up on the field (i.e. Bellisari, Zwick last year). So if Zwick does well to start off the season, Smith will have to wait. And to avoid criticism let me state that I'm rooting for Boeckman, lol.

I consider myself in tremendous shape and I could just see Ginn running laps around me during that drill. It would be a lot of fun to watch these guys during a morning workout. You can see half of them laughing while chasing one another.
