2008 Cavs-Wizards First Round series

Don't think Wally is hurting the team as much as you guys are saying...He isn't knocking down the shots, but he is getting lots of loose balls and why he isn't the fastest on his feet, he has played solid D...
You know that I usually do not disagree:) with your post but I strongly disagree with this one. Wally was not starting at the end of the season and then the playoffs begin and all of a sudden he is in the starting rotation. I don't understand that at all. He was brought in for his outside shooting and if his shots are not falling he really needs to sit. You mentioned about him getting a lot of loose balls. For everyone that he gets, he turns 2 over. He does get good defensive position but he is slow. I would almost want to see Devin Brown start over him or even Gibson.

On another matter is there a secret rule amongst NBA coaches that you do not commit an "intentional" foul on a guy away from the ball if he is a poor foul shooter. If not what the hell was Wallace doing on the floor in the last three minutes of a game? Doesn't Mike Brown have any sense. Did he think Washington was just going to give him the game and not commit any fouls. Stephenson is a pretty dumb player but Brown is a pretty dumb coach. Oh, Joe Smith get the hell away from the ball when someone has it during the last 90 seconds or so of a game. You might get called for a foul.

Varejao should be fined every time he brings the ball below his chest while facing the basket. I do not want to see him dribble unless he's backing somebody down.

I don't even want to see him do that. Almost every time he tries to create on offense he hurts the team. The only time he should put the ball on the floor is to start a break or if he has a free lane to the basket and is more than 2 steps away. For as good as he is most of the time this has been the worst series I can remember him playing in.

Wonder what Tibor is doing tonight...Didn't see him trolling the thread...

Great win all around...Wally makes up for his sloppy game in game 5 with a great game 6, also Boobie with a great game and LBJ with a great all around performance...

The best thing of the night was to see Sasha back out there...Now with the couple off days for practice Brown will be able to see if he will be able to play at all...

If Wally, Brown, Boobie struggle on Pierce and Allen we can go with Sasha who is the best defender out of all them IMO...

If 2 of Wally, West, and Boobie can stay hot in the second round the Cavs will do well. If they do have to play Boston Wally and West have a lot of experience at the Garden, which should help their comfort.

I just like how they used Lebron to compliment Boobie and Wally, not the other way around.
The L-train would drive in, draw a double team or everybody would crowd the paint - what happens? - perimeter shooters have an open look.

Great win.

edit: Watching the Hawks-Celts series gives me more confidence that I believe the Cav's
can win in a series. Boston is getting out-muscled inside where the Green's only strength
is KG. Meanwhile we have a great strength in offensive boards.

[Joe Johnson] Hey, don't we at least get to play Game 7 before the Celtics advance? [/Joe Johnson]

:wink2:
