2008 Rivals/Scout/etc. National & Regional Rankings

I think we get too excited about the whole "rankings" thing in general. :tongue2:
Take a deep breath, boys!
Truth is with our quality depth, most of these guys won't contribute this year.

Now, the lineman is a different story and the O line and D line guys will play
probably a good bit. Good or bad?

It's easy to see how Adams could be the #1 O lineman in the country, but
Brewster is supposed to actually be better!
Makes you wonder how much Brewster would have risen had he been healthy. And how much of Adams thunder/press would he have taken?
I just want Brew to get healthy to play this year.

Even with our depth I see quite a few guys in this class that could easily see the field next year, due to how good they are...

Like you said lineman...Adams, Brewster, Shugarts, GG, Shaq.

Then guys like Sweat and Sabino already have college ready bodies, but we are loaded at LB, but these guys could see time on special teams...

Any of the wideouts Stoney, Posey, Thomas could easily see quite a bit of time next year as maybe 3rd or 4th receivers, or returning punts...

If we land Pryor he could see some split time with Boeckman...

Martin could see time at FB...

So that is 11 of 17 that I see could see time...

The guys that I see as for sure redshirts right now are Domicone, Mobley, Williams, Howard, DiLillo, Williams...

So we are loading up on great players that will provide depth along with guys that could step in and help this team to lots of wins next year...

I can't for the life of me understand how Sweat is getting screwed so bad. He was hurt much of his senior year and he had a great week of practice at the Under Armour game...though that isn't Rivals baby :! I realize he would fall a bit while being injured but he did really well at the UA game, not to mention you don't get courted by ND, Florida, PSU, and OSU without being a top 250 player. I see A.J. Alexander , Yancich, Saddler, etc. and it's amazing Andrew isn't on that list. Also, I thought Josh Jenkins had a solid AA game to get moved down that low, even if he didn't have a great week of practice.
