2011 SEC Football Discussion

http://www.georgiadogs.com/sports/m-golf/spec-rel/073111aaa.html

2 Dawgs make the Walker Cup Team.

Also of note:
English won the 2011 Nationwide Children?s Hospital Invitational at the Ohio State University Scarlet Course in July. One week earlier, English won the Southern Amateur at Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club near Tampa, Fla. He advanced to the semifinals of the 2011 U.S. Amateur Public Links in June at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Oregon and was a quarterfinalist in the 2010 APL at Bryan Park in Greensboro, N.C. He placed sixth at the Porter Cup last week.

No word yet if Harris English celebrated by trading his pitching wedge for a tatoo.

Gator gets grief for posting UF things in places where we're not interested in those topics.

So in the interest of fairness, allow me to point out that this is the SEC Football thread, so UGA non-football news needs to find another place on BP, where it can easily be ignored by those wanting to do so.

Highlighting the Scarlet Course in C-Bus was a nice try, though. :wink2:

So on the topic of threads being ignored - I'm free to post this in the UF Baseball thread, no?

So, The Gumps go 9-3, 5-3 in conference last year.

They had on their roster the following:

? The winningest QB in Bama history, who scored 1,537,976 on the Wonder-Lichtenstein test, and he was super fucking efficient - #2 QB in the SEC.

The reigning Heisman Trophy winner, backed up by the son of Chuck Norris - Trent Richardson.

The #2 drafted WR in the nation, Julio down by the schoolyard Jones, who incidentally caught more balls for more yards than anyone in their entire history. Their next most productive WR had 400 yds.

The #1 drafted DT in the nation, and 3rd overall pick.

They lost all of those players and yet, are pretty much guaranteed to go undefeated by anyone with a notepad.

That's because preseason analysts always weigh the defensive side of the ball way too heavily. :tongue2:
