2012 Black Friday/Cyber Monday Deals

Mac

That's a pain in the buns
Post deals for the upcoming Black Friday, Cyber Monday, etc.

I'm in the market for a new laptop. My IBM's backlight went over the weekend (or at least that's what I think it is). Don't need anything too special, as its for web browsing/job search/iTunes and that's about it. I would just get a tablet but need documents (office).

Lenovo makes a pretty cool ultrabook that flips over into a tablet.

I am a big fan of thinkpads, as I find their quality and durability to be superb and the trackpoint is very convenient. You don't know how annoying a trackpad is until you have grown accustomed to keeping your fingers on the keyboard while mousing with your index finger on a trackpoint.

HP is cheap garbage that breaks down.

Asus has some very nice 1k laptops, specifically the n56 and ultra books I find their entry level laptops to be weak.

Toshiba makes a lot of good laptops, if you like the trackpad. I can't stand the textured ones.

Dell and Lenovo have great deals in their outlets, especially when you can pair them with a coupon code.

Yeah my Lenovo was a great laptop. Had it for 6 years. I had a dell before this and it was a piece of junk. I'll probably stick with Lenovo. Thanks jwins
Not a fan of the low end Dells or Lenovos. Both have quality business lines.

I ended up going with this at Best Buy

I figured for the price, why not. Like I said I really only need something to update/sync iPhone through iTunes, browse web, and light Microsoft office use. I think it will do just fine

Let me know how you like it. My son needs a new laptop since he is still using my old 2004 Gateway (still truckin' along) and that looks perfect for him.

Picked it up during my lunch. Pretty nice. It's light but a decent size. I hate windows 8 though :smash:

First: Figure out your budget and what the system will need to produce. Blu Ray-3D-CD etc etc.

Size of Room or Multi Rooms;

Second: Speakers first. Find the sound that YOU like best and do a test drive with a good about of music and audio sources. I like Klipsch but there are tons of great speakers.

Third: Electronics Receiver vs Separates, DVD vs dedicated CD player, etc, Game player or not.... Heck I still have a top quality turntable and records so match it to you.

Find a professional to match all of the components.

Think Install yoursefe vs Professional.

Your ears and eyes should be the only judge.
