2012 NBA Finals: Thunder vs Heat (OK to bet)

I love how Cleveland fans think I must be dense or incapable of understanding. The fact is...I just don't care. If LBJ had gone to scUM out of HS then sure I wouldn't like him at all. He didn't however, he left Cleveland..ok not in the best way I'll admit it.I'm not a Heat fan or anything but he still is an OHIO kid that won a World Championship last night so I said congrats!

I'm not a Cardinal fan either..but how I'd love to see Beanie lead the league in rushing. Or see Santonio with the right attitude and lead the league in touchdown grabs. Hawk or Lauernitis leading the league in tackles..It's all about the Buckeyes man. I wouldn't root against Cleveland in a Super bowl hell I might even cheer for them if whoever they are playing doesn't have any Buckeyes on their team.

Isn't that cute... he's an Ohio kid. Maybe we can all take him out for ice cream and candy later. We can sing Hang on Sloopy and Burn On Big River together in joyous harmony. Afterwards, we'll take a stroll down on the banks of the Cuyahoga and then we can throw him in to be swallowed up by the toxic waste. Ohio style.

(And I too would love to see Santonio with the right attitude. But I won't cheer for him when he acts the way he acts. Nor Lebron. Winning doesn't change your character.)

Lauernitis? Is that what you contract when you watch too much Today show?

Nah, I'm not a conspiracy theorist/insane. According to BP, every game of every sport is fixed, unless the Buckeyes win. And even then, sometimes the Buckeyes won despite the refs trying to make them lose.

The Heat deserved this one. They were clearly better. I fucking hate them more than any other team out there, but talk of a fix is hilarious to me. I expected to see it, but it's still hilarious.

EDIT: Also, it goes beyond the games themselves. Every draft is fixed. And the games leading up to the end of the season that do nothing but determine draft position are fixed. If only for the purpose of screwing [insert poster's favorite team here].

1. you've mastered the art of hyperbole. well done.
2. since when is lopsided, borderline incompetent officiating, synonymous with a fix?

I'm not so sure about that. Have you seen the game threads lately that go against the teams that BP is rooting for? Heck, even the NHL draft was fixed according to BP. And there are four people on BP who care about that.

Why wouldn't it be?

EDIT: I feel you implied that it was fixed when you compared it to a wrestling script. If that wasn't your intention, I guess you have my apologies.

Sorry but if you're an Ohio kid, and you see/live through the pain of the professional sports teams that Ohio has, and still pull the shit he did, that's not an "Ohio" kid.

That's a traitor.

Lauernitis, sounds like a disease

the wrestling script is clearly referencing the heel, or villain winning the title over the beloved underdog, who was faced with further difficulties through things other than the 5 opponents on the court, namely the refs.

as for the hyperbole portion, perhaps it's not a matter of you being the only enlightened one in the group. maybe a large number of people seeing something one particular way happens for a reason.

Usually when something can be said "clearly," it doesn't need to be explained. I don't think my misunderstanding of what you were implying is that ridiculous. I took something different out of what you said, now I know what you intended. No big deal.

I can assure you that I'm not the only one who feels the way I do. I'm not trying to sound like the only enlightened one, nor do I consider myself that.. I just find it annoying and hilarious that every thread revolves around officiating and/or fixes, unless the BP rooting interest is winning easily. Look at any OSU basketball game thread that wasn't a blowout, for example.
