Are players from impoverished backgrounds still driving around Tuscaloosa in Escalades with 22" rims without raising any eyebrows at the NCAA? I like Alabama's chances.
Of course not.

They're driving around their middle-class neighborhoods in Birmingham with their baby mamas and multiple children in Escalades with 22" rims without raising any eyebrows at the NCAA.

Appealing to the new members by giving them each home games right out of the gate against two of the banner carrying programs in the league historically, plus Mizzou gets Bama and A&M gets LSU at home.

I have to go on record in saying that Mizzou and A&M going to that league was a mistake for both of them, competitively. I don't think they'll be able to compete.

South Carolina has a meat grinder in the middle. They get Georgia at home then LSU and Florida back to back weeks on the road.

Sakerlina and Arky took a few years before they were consistently difficult. Give them the new guys a few years and they'll catch get better.

Old Houston Nutt lucked out by leaving Ole Miss.

Their schedule next year includes the following:

at Alabama
at Arkansas
at Georgia
at LSU

Have fun fuckers!

don't forget home losses
Texas
Vandy (who owns Ole Miss)
A&M
Auburn
Miss. St.

they might win 3 games next year. MIGHT (assuming they can sneak past Toolame)

Ole Miss now has a terrific coach, though. I wouldn't bet on their finishing with fewer than 6 victories -- which should be good enough to win Hugh Freeze national COY with the schedule and roster they have.

new coach or not, I have a tough time finding as many as 4 wins on that schedule

Central Arkansas (win)
UTEP (win)
Texas (loss)
@Toolame (win)
@Alabama (loss)
Texas A&M (loss)
Auburn (loss)
@Arky (loss)
@Georgia (loss)
Vandy (loss)
@LSU (loss)
Miss St (loss)

3-9 looks about right.

But wait a minute, didn't they lose to Jacksonville a year or two ago?

That means Toolame or Cent. Arky has at least a shot.
