2012 TSUN shenanigans and arguments

This was the initial response I got elsewhere....

"No one (other than delusional rival fans) has ever said it is a hard line policy - in terms of whether or not Michigan will continue to recruit a player. The only "hard line" policy was that you weren't considered a Michigan commit - something that has held true 100% of the time, even now. "

I'm pretty sure I read it from the Detroit Free Press and not from here.

 at Hoke thinking that he could keep early commits from taking other visits. Now he looks like a fool for taking this so-called "hard line" that was completely unenforcable anyway.

See, he just doesn't want to work hard for things. He wants the kids to commit early and not be allowed to look around so that he can forget about them and work on making a few boxes of mac and cheese in his office for a mid morning snack. Look at how he "coaches" during games. He stares into space, arms crossed, no headset. Basically he is just a fan during the games that has really good field access.

Welcome to the B1G, fatboy.

Let's face it, there isn't a more delusional fan base on the face of the earth. They got their "one year of grace" last year and now reality has slapped them in the face and they once again realize that they are tOSU doormat, an average team at best and that tOSU owns them.

FACT: They will not be as good next year as they were this year.

FACT: We will be better on Offense and have the potential to be just as good on Defense if our LB crew can step it up.

FACT: Urban Meyer is a better coach than Brady "I Want a Ham Sandwich" Hoke.

FACT: tOSU recruiting classes are going to be lights out. scUM will have solid classes but Urban is going to bring in stellar classes. The talent on the 2013 team is ridiculous.

FACT: Next year Braxton Miller is going to continue to improve. As will our OL, RB's and WR's. Our Offense next year is going to be a force to be reckoned with. scUM's OL is going to go backwards. Gardner will not be the playmaker that Shoelace was. RB is a question. The scUM Offense WILL struggle next year.

FACT: The talent along the OSU DL with Bennett, Shutt, Washington, Spence, Pittman, Hale, Price, Hill, Bosa will be young yet gifted on both the inside and outside. I can't wait to see how these guys develop into great players. They will dominate the skunkbears in the trenches.

FACT: scUM sucks. True story.

BTW - Did you see how hard Zach Boren trucked Devin Gardner? He hit him so hard that I'm sure I heard Gardner fart like a donkey. Just sayin.

:osu:

I think the Bucks will be better, but the losses on defense are reason to pause.

Linebacker concerns me. The lack of depth at that critical spot and the fact that there isn't another Zack Boren willing to change positions in mid season and doing so brilliantly. Shazier plays so hard that I wonder how someone his size holds up over the whole season. That means counting on freshmen to step up and fill in. Can we clone Hawk and Katzenmoyer?

Michigan's offense will now be based on Gardner. While he's no where near the runner that Dennard is, he's a much better passer - OK, every other Big 10 QB is a better passer- and he proved to be pretty mobile in the game.

Michigan's size is improving, most of the slot dots are gone and Mattison certainly improved the schemes and play of the defense. They spent the entire second half with their backs against the wall, against a good to great red zone offense, and gave up two field goals. You can't fault the effort of their defense.

Finally, the game will be in Ann Arbor. That's good for 3 points.

Solve linebacker, improvement at WR, solid at RB, Miller improving, Guiton providing a proven back up - I like what I see.

I don't know. I mean, if Notre Dame is in the BCS NCG is anything real anymore?

Bigger arm does not equate to better passer (although, as you state, it doesn't take much in this case). Gardner needs other players around him to make big plays, unlike Robinson, who made his own big plays. In the game itself, Robinson did more with 5 touches than Gardner did with 50. Gardner committed 3 turnovers and had -28 yards rushing. That's not going to get it done.

Ok Gardner can pass decently, when he has time, but consider they will have no threat of a game breaker at WR or RB and be retooling the entire OL with a bunch of RS freshmen.

Gardner may be a better QB but scUM lost it's only legit home run hitter when Detard tapped out for the last time. Maybe someone will emerge eventually but as it stands right now, I'll take my chances with Gardner trying to consistently dink and dunk them down the field.

Funny that you mention a position of attrition for OSU, but don't see that the same thing's going on with scUM, who is replacing its entire offensive line.

EDIT--Jax beat me to it.

""We talked about everything and he said that if I want to be there they have a place for me."

<sarcasm>Could this also read: After finding out the other targets on Michigans board were not that interested Michigan coaches thought we value talent more than principle and want to bring Mr. Dawson back in. </sarcasm>
