2013-2014 B1G Men's Basketball

Here's your worst nightmare, i.e. your 17 year old son has cancer....

Iowa coach Fran McCaffery said Friday that the tumor doctors removed from his son's thyroid earlier this week was malignant. McCaffery's son Patrick, 14, had surgery in Iowa City on Wednesday, just hours before the Hawkeyes lost to Tennessee in the First Four of the NCAA tournament in Dayton, Ohio.

BigTen doesn't seem to be doing too bad in the NIT lately:

2014: Minnesota (Champs)
2013: Iowa (Runner-up)
2012: Minnesota (Runner-up)
2009: Penn State (Champs)
2008: Ohio State (Champs)
2006: tsun (Runner-up)
2004: tsun (Champs)

7 out of the last 11 championships have featured a BigTen team. Not that it means anything, just interesting.
