2013 Out-of-state players to watch

It's amazing to me how differently young men mature. On the extreme end of the scale are Lebron, and MoC. They were 25 year old men at 14. Based on what I'm seeing in this Video this young man is in that group. Wow

Hatcher plays at the same school that Jordan Whiting did. Trinity is right up the road from me and I plan on going to see him play...I know some folks that know him and they say he is just a freak...

There is a thread for him btw... I don't know if I set it up right though, so someone might have to fix it

2013 RB Derrick Henry of Yulee has Florida State on top of his list - OrlandoSentinel.com

ALLAHASSEE ?
Remember this name because it will be one mentioned often in the next two years.

He's a sophomore tailback at Yulee High near Jacksonville. And he currently has his eye on Florida State.

"Yeah, FSU is No. 1 for me right now," Henry said Saturday while roaming the sidelines before Florida State's game with Boston College at Doak Campbell Stadium. "Miami is No. 2, but I really like it here. I'm just a sophomore though, so I've got a while yet."

Henry is a huge running back at 6-foot-4, 220 pounds, but he runs like a gazelle in the open field. And when the field's not so open, he just runs over people. In the first three games this season, he ran for more than 300 yards in each of them.

Last year he gave a significant preview of things to come with 2,475 yards and 27 touchdowns on 313 carries to lead all freshmen in the state. This season he wants 3,000 yards, and he's not joking.

Joliet Catholic running back Ty Isaac recently received his first scholarship offer, from Illinois, after an unofficial visit.

The 6-foot-3, 205-pound sophomore spoke highly of the Fighting Illini after his visit.

"I just loved it at Illinois and it really worked out well for me because I was able to talk with all of the coaches and they gave me a ton of personal attention," Isaac said. "I've been to Illinois before, but I really saw the whole school and the football program in a new way."

Isaac plans to check out spring practices in April at Ohio State and Wisconsin.

2013 Recruiting Notes: West Catholic RB David Williams attracting D-1 attention
Published: Wednesday, May 25, 2011
By Joshua Funk, PennLive.com football blogger

One of West Catholic's most dynamic returning skill position players could wind up being one of the state's most sought-after recruit in the 2013 recruiting class.

David Williams, a 6'1, 185-pound running back for the defending PIAA AA champion Burrs, has received interest, but no verbal offers, from six Division-1 programs, according to national recruiting service Scout.com. Interested parties include Notre Dame, Ohio State, Penn State, Pitt, Rutgers and Temple.

Williams finished as the #3 rusher for West Catholic a season ago, finishing with 924 yards and 17 touchdowns on exactly 100 carries. He averaged 9.2 yards per carry and 71.1 yards per game, playing in 13 of the Burrs' 15 games. #33 posted six games with 80+ rushing yards, including a trio of 100-yard performances.
