 Really? Is Sumlin still actively pursuing them?

Yep I think we'll end up seeing some scholies yanked or kids encouraged to go juco/prep/look elsewhere. Per rivals they have 8 or 9 early enrollees... Not sure but jucos count the same right?

Yep they and their fans have embraced the culture like it was their long lost brother... My friend sees nothing wrong with this practice after all they are national champs in their own mind

Worley pushes us up to #3 on Scout - just behind TAMU. Perhaps we would be higher if Urban were smart enough to go after 7 WRs and 6 MLBs.

Actually we were already #3 on Scout...Worley just put us on TAMU heels (I went to their rankings page right after Worley committed and before Scout updated their rankings). If we get any two of the prospects that we're after we'll be the clear #1 on Scout.

Free Rivals - Nkemdiche keeps the top spot

Free Rivals - Final rankings bring nine new five-stars

Some familiar names...Mike Mitchell, Alex Anzalone, Dorian Johnson and Vonn Bell...

Next up when it comes to additions is two linebackers in Plano (Texas) Prestonwood Christian standout Mike Mitchell and Wyomissing (Pa.) Area star Alex Anzalone.

"Mitchell's athleticism has been noted but there has been a lot of talk of Mitchell being nothing more than a combine phenom. But he continues to show he brings it all to the field," Howell said of the Ohio State commitment, who moved up 29 spots to No. 26 overall.

"Mitchell moved from defensive end to linebacker as a senior and was just shy of 200 tackles on the season. He was one of the more consistent linebackers throughout the Army All-American Bowl week and even when he does make a mistake he has the athletic ability to make up for it in a way others just cannot. His potential and his production make it hard to do anything but give him the five-star nod."

Rounding out the new five stars are offensive tackle Dorian Johnson from Belle Vernon, Pa., a Pitt commitment, and safety Vonn Bell from Rossville (Ga.) Ridgeland.

"Johnson drew the unenviable position of having to block fellow five-stars Lawson and Jones during practice sessions at Under Armour and he also faced off against Nkemdiche in the game and more than held his own," Wommack said. "He has long arms and is very strong, allowing him to make good initial contact and knock faster pass rushers off balance. His physicality will serve him very well at the college level, where he'll likely be relied on to be a bookend tackle.

"Bell is a guy whose star has been on the rise for past few months," Wommack said. "He capped off a great senior season by showing tremendous versatility in the defensive backfield at Under Armour. He's a rangy safety who can cover a lot of ground and he has the skill set to play cornerback if needed. His ability to adapt to different positions quickly will allow him to press for early playing time and no matter where his college coaches use him, he'll be a threat to make big plays."

Free Rivals - Plenty of big moves in the final Rivals100

In addition to Kamara moving to No. 45, running back Derrick Henry from Yulee, Fla., moved up 34 slots to No. 36, running back Keith Ford from Cypress (Texas) Cypress Ranch moved up 65 spots to No. 48, tailback Justin Davis from Stockton (Calif.) Lincoln jumped 54 spots to No. 62 and all-purpose back Dontre Wilson from DeSoto, Texas, rose 78 slots to No. 100.

"Wilson's game is built on speed and make-you-miss ability. He flashed his game-breaking agility in the punt return game at the UAAG. His open field burst and acceleration is what spread zone read offensive coordinators crave. He is a mismatch in the passing game against linebackers or safeties on wheel or angle routes."

I honestly thought Rivals did an outstanding job with the final list and really didn't show any bias for players who played in their bowl (moved Hargreaves III up to #2 and Bell to five-star for example). Maybe Lisle could be higher but everything else looks pretty good at a peripheral glance.

Free Rivals - Team Rankings: Mapping the path to No. 1

5. OHIO STATE
Current class rank: No. 4
Current points: 2,684
Spots remaining: At least three
Breakdown: Ohio State is not a clear leader for any prospect who is going to move their point total much. To have a shot at No. 1, the Buckeyes need Dontre Wilson, Vonn Bell and Cameron Hunt. But those three together would only get Ohio State to 2,888 points. Dan Skipper and Ryan Timmons are the Buckeyes' two most likely commits, and neither would push their class forward. As far as the race for No. 1, landing Bell would be more relevant to hurting Alabama's chances and opening the door for Florida and Notre Dame.
Title shot: Ohio State's chances boil down to Urban Meyer's history of closing hard and pulling surprises around National Signing Day. But even if the dream scenario above works out, the Buckeyes would still need to land a highly ranked prospect who is not currently on the radar. They have little chance at No. 1, but they do have a slight chance to put a total point number near 2,900, meaning they make this list, long shot or not.
