2013 Rivals/Scout/etc. National & Regional Rankings

I watched all 4 AA games...OSU had a top 3 class on the field.

Wilson, Bell, and Clark are grand theft. I thought we had a better class than Michigan before they committed and now its not even close.

Wilson and Clark are both game changers on offense. The can house the ball any time the touch it.

I also believe our class has more balance than Michigans. Michigan has taken too many OL in the last 2 years. The WR's and CB's they have taken are not elite whatsoever.

Michigan is playing checkers and we are playing chess. They will realize that this year.

I wonder what Michigan does when Wilson, Devin Smith, Corey Brown, Jalin Marshall, and Clark are wide...ouch...man coverage on those guys?

I think we have upgraded our kick returners and punt returners dramatically...it will pay huge dividends.

I think a major speed upgrade has be infused across the board.

The only team beating OSU this year will be OSU...AT LEAST DURING THE REGUALR SEASON.

I could go on and on but IMO Hoke is the opposite of RR...He is focusing on power too much and is neglecting the skill positions.

I can almost see 10 pixels.

Blurry screen shot that was even harder to read before I used digital photo "enhancement" and boosted brightness and contrast, thereby washing out the color, but allowing 10 pixels to be read instead of 5.

So maybe I don't have a future in art? I got a D- in 7th grade art, and that was my last "formal training". Or maybe I am a great artist that will simply never be recognized in my lifetime?

Yep. I've been busted. That's it.

While I have been fooling around with the photocopier, the Urban Legend has been out there whipping tSUN. The Legend still leads by 8 or more points:

1. Ohio State 24 Big Ten 5121 8 4 17 3 9 15 0 23 1 4.04
2. Michigan 27 Big Ten 5113 7 4 15 7 15 11 1 27 0 3.81

I am not sure where this vast conspiracy came from, that the punt was the most important play in football and that therefore there had to be a punter. Not true. Scout, 24x7, ESPN, and Rivals have all "mathematically proven" that you do not need a punter to beat tSUN.

Some say recruiting rankings are meaningless, and yes that's true. That's the fate of every sport that uses a ball, especially ones that are not round.

Some say that 8 points is not much, but I have seen over 105K people go crazy, winning by 5 points on Nov 27.

What Alabama press is saying about tOSU:

Editors note: the above is definitely not a smile, but rather, a teeth clenching grimace.

.... Look at what a re-energized Meyer has accomplished in short order at Ohio State. His first team went undefeated, and his first full-year recruiting class finished No. 1 according to Scout.com.

Meyer based his class in talent-rich Ohio with 10 in-state signees, but like Saban, he cast his net far and wide. Ohio State?s 24 signees came from 11 states, which is not far behind the 13 states that provided Alabama?s 25 signees.

Meyer landed the No. 1 player, according to Rivals.com, from four different states: Ohio, Texas, Missouri and South Carolina. What do those last three states have in common? They?re in the SEC footprint.

Overall, 10 of Ohio State?s 24 signees came from SEC states. Meyer knows how and where to go after players that can win national titles.

....

If that weren?t enough, an Alabama-Ohio State title game almost has to happen for the storylines alone.

Ohio State went unbeaten last season but didn?t play for the national title because it was on probation and ineligible for the postseason. Alabama didn?t go undefeated but won the national title.

But wait. There?s more.

Alabama wouldn?t have played for the title if Ohio State had been smarter and self-imposed a bowl ban the year before with NCAA sanctions coming. ....
